I am calling this a negative even though the booking never happened for strange reasons. I will explain.

External Link/Members OnlyA Rom with a typically long and weird profile but I called anyway due to lack of Newcastle City Centre options.
Comms:
First felt off at this stage. I called, the usual Rom exchange of what time I come and she send me the address straight away. A good 5-10 mins later no text so en route to the train home I text to hurry her up.
Address came through and it was a well known apartment block with a faded bell button used by indies and agencies.
Told me to call when I arrived.
The aborted meet:
I called bang on time. She answered and said she would text. Weird but oh well.
As soon as I entered the courtyard area outside two Rom looking men in a tatty camper van parked by the door were staring at me and watching me the whole time I was in the phone.
Some people were entering the building and held the door open so I went into the downstairs area.
Whilst I was in the downstairs area the two men in the camper were watching me. It felt dodgy. I left after a few mins. And when I left the two dodgy guys watched me even more intensely.
After I left the room number text came through, at least five mins after my call. Again, weird.
I replied to say I felt unsafe due to strange men in a van watching me and had left. She replied ‘what?’ and then she tried to call me. I rejected the call and she text to say, to quote “delate my no”.
Conclusion:
And that was that. Saved myself £80, and potentially a robbery. Or I may have missed out on a great punt.
But I have never seen a big camper van in there before and have used those flats plenty of times before so I do not believe it was a coincidence.
