You're quite right HP, and t'was a mere jest.

I’ve had from birth, not known any different tbh, I believe Jews, Muslims and Americans all get it done , would definitely say it’s more hygienic, and to me it looks a lot more prettier, not that I’m into cock, but occasionally glance with the corner of my eye at the next guy say when he’s having a piss at the urinals. I think foreskin makes the dick look ugly, but eh, each to their own

Circumcision: My Penis Causes Me Constant Pain

Avon feels pain with every single step he takes. But when he’s intimate with his partner, he has very little sensation.

"More people should be educated before ruining the life of a newborn son or daughter in this way,” he says. "It’s disgusting that it’s still happening to this day, it really is.”

Like any operation/procedure, shit can go wrong. There's always stats for any one of them, and a certain percentage will be unlucky, be it 10% or 0.01%.

That's why any operation is a weigh-up between risk and reward, and why would anyone have an operation they don't need?

Until religion gets involved, and then common sense and logic go out the window. But the unlucky percentage remain. So the majority have it done and feel deeply part of their religious family as a result, 'one of the boys' and a star in the eyes of god. And the other poor fuckers have pain and disfigurement, a messed-up sex life and decades of resentment ahead of them.

If a man wants to have it, fine. Forcing it on a child seems to me somehow dubious, or even wrong.

Offline winkywanky

Agreed. Law change required. But I feel the enormous Jewish lobby in this country would prevent it. If it were a purely Muslim thing then it would simply be seen as the other side of the FGM coin and be dealt with.

Well duh, obviously it wasn't aimed at you if you know how to wash your cock!

Apparently some scumbags don't!

Sadly it needs to be aimed at many many men, I have seen a large amount of guys with closed foreskins, who have no pain during sex and think it's totally normal not to be able to pull the foreskin back  :scare:

One guy didn't even realise there was a head to be exposed  :dash: :scare:

The hygiene level of a man with a closed up foreskin is always going to be lower than that of a circumcised man or one with a retractable foreskin  as they simply cannot pull it back to wash and it's therefore  a warm damp pocket of yuck, it always smells and is never going to be fully clean.  :vomit:

I am not brave enough to do owo on a closed foreskin anymore and I almost always have a conversation as to why......:vomit:

I can imagine Porton Down would be very interested in what lurks beneath their foreskins, it could well be the source of a new and powerful Organic Warfare Toxin.

I believe the technical term is nobcheese.

It occurs to me that a retractable forskin might me a natural development to facilitate penetration like in the same way a tampon applicator has like a retractable outer bit. And it further occurs to me that busting your forskin open might be a natural stage in puberty for guys either through sex or wanking in the same way that busting their hymen is a natural stage in puberty for girls either throutgh sex or wanking. I know i ripped my cock to bits during puberty but in time it naturally mended itself and the result was a perfectly functioning retractable forskin .
Theoretically in nature , without lube or suchlike , penetration with a non retractable or circumcised cock might potentially be more physically traumatic , and upon that basis methinks more vulnerable to damage and transmission of disease.
Its a curious thing to ponder how come anyone has a non retractable forskin , like didnt they masterbate vigorously when they were young or what.

I think the 'normal' situation is that a foreskin is just retractable, it develops that way.

Sounds like yours was a bit tight but you skilfully managed the situation by smashing it to bits!  :scare:  :D

One of my earliest memories is of my mum retracting my foreskin as part of my washing routine at bathtime. I actually remember asking her what/why she was doing and she said the district nurse had told her this was a good routine to have. Assuming my mother wasn't sexually abusing me or doing it for her own pleasure, I wonder whether young mums are given that advice today, or whether we're too PC to talk about it?

Funny how stuff comes into the public consciousness, normally by way of women's issues, and then a bit later there's suddenly awareness of the male equivalent. Be it gender-specific cancers, performance in schools, mental health and now the state of our gentials and whether surgical intervention for religious reasons is justified (first it was FGM and now circumcision).

Getting back to foreskins though, by and large things are there for a reason, or indeed reasons. Counter that of course, with some things on our bodies being 'evolutionary leftovers' that don't really have a function in modern humans like the appendix, they just sit there doing nothing, waiting to go wrong and kill us (who knows, maybe they DO have a use). But consider any mammal at all, don't the males of the species always have a covered cock? Infact, pretty well any living creature? I can't think of any that just have their naked cocks hanging out, even fish?

Thats funny cos my earliest memory is my dad applying cream under my foreskin , it had always puzzled me but id assumed he was doing something parental rather than abusing me.
Yeh be interesting to know if young mums are advised similarly today.
About if having a retractable forskin is something your just naturally born with i dont know , i dont have kids so its not something i have knowledge of, altho i can conceive a situation where your cock developed and your forskin became tight , that seems pretty logical.

Unbeknownst to you, your parents had probably taken you to the family GP and got you some steroid cream to put on a tight foreskin.

All this early attention to your cock probably led to you going masturbation-mental as soon as you hit puberty

Ive read this post with interest. I cant engage in any sort of shenanigins at the minutes as I have developed Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans which is basically an over tight foreskin. My GP has given me all sorts of creams but it looks like Im going to have to be circumcised. Im in my mid 50's and its only happened in the last few months. I am somewhat worried about the prospect.

First of all I thought you'd obliterated your nob-end by repeating Xeroxing of your cock on the office copier (forgive me). But Googling reveals a very nasty condition. Hope this turns out OK for you CL.

who ever has had it done due to tight foreskin .. was it done on NHS or private  what are the costs on private,or how do u get it done on NHS
how long is recovery !! :scare:

Underwent surgery as an adult due to the same reason. It was on the NHS and recovery wasn't too bad.

I was off from work (office based) for a day and unable to engage in any activities for around 5-6 weeks. Any sooner and there was a danger the stitches would rip with risk of infection.

Once the recovery was over, normal activities could be resumed.

My understanding is if you are referred from your GP, then you can get the procedure under the NHS. Cost for going private was over £1/2k (from memory on research done at the time)

Offline 20jay

I'm sure that men with phimosis have then after the surgery better sex. But in general, I think,  if the foreskin goes proper back, there is no difference between circumcised and uncut .. or wait, the uncut one will be probably a wee bit more sensitive, as the foreskin still protects.

I'm uncut ,by the way .

If a man wants to have it, fine. Forcing it on a child seems to me somehow dubious, or even wrong.

Medical indication is one thing, religion another. I come from a culture in which boys are not getting circumised for no reason, and I could never have it done it on my boys except the medical reason.
In some cultures, children will be circumcised, not my thing, but as long as these cultures do not want to impose their habits on others, they should do what they want ,its not our cuppa tea. :hi:

Sadly, this is where cultures can collide.

But whatever culture you come from, if you live in the UK and British Law decides that a certain surgical practice for religious reasons is unjustified and subsequently made illegal, then tough shit, you obey the law of the land or risk prosecution. This is exactly what's happened with 'female circumcision', we view it as genital mutilation and people are rightly getting prosecuted.

Male circumcision is slightly little different, it's not as damaging to the individual unless it goes wrong, but nevertheless I hope that one day this will be outlawed on young children too.

Offline Thecunninglinguist

I wouldn't advise anyone to be circumcised. I had it done at a few days old and l couldn't walk for a year!

Although I agree with you morally, it is not up to us to judge other cultures. We can ban their rituals in our culture, who does not like this should just go back.

Any genital mutilation can be banned by a country if it does not fit into their legal and cultural sense. But outside one must not interfere. This insight has to spread by itself in the society of the respective country

Of course, I'm not saying that.

I'm talking about this country. If the British Judicial system decides it's illegal, it's illegal. It's abuse against a minor.

If you want to adhere to/interpret your own culture to the extent of abusing minors, then leave the UK. And by the way, don't come back, because I believe parents who have had this done abroad and then return are being prosecuted too (because their children are British citizens).

Yeah that's what I said, if they like to live their culture they have to stay in their country or have to go back, if they can't accept the circumstance that this ritual is banned in the host country.

If they bring their kids back to their home country just to carry out their ritual , they have to leave because this is a sign of unwill to adapt in their host country.

btw..for this statement in Germany they would call me Nazi  :dash:

Offline winkywanky

I agree with all of that.

Regarding Germany though, I would say that they are finally getting over what they did in WW2 and actually starting to have real, open opinions on this stuff now, after being so afraid to go anywhere near it since 1947.

Unfortunately, at the same time there are some very unsavoury far-right wing types who are starting to pop their heads up. A bit like sectarianism in Northern Ireland on the rise again, they never all went away, they were just biding their time.

I thought perhaps he'd gone in to have his tonsils out but they had him the wrong way round on the operating table .

But no! He'd gone in for a bladder procedure  :(. Just goes to show, the thing they do now where they draw a permanent marker arrow pointing to the operation site before you go to theatre isn't infallible.

Perhaps they need to actually write down on your skin what operation they're intending to do!

I'm 57 and had a loose circumcision done 10 years ago

I had Phimosis

My two tips for anyone with Phimosos and considering Circumcision

there's a charity called Normuk which has website 15square, well worth looking at

I had a circumcisssion done privately by a surgeon called Gordon Muir, his website is London urology
cost me about £1800

BUT
this is the important bit as why you should research

most NHS circumcissions take off all the forskin

there are what they term partial circumcisions and loose circumcisions where they remove part of it, not all

so you still have a foreskin than rubs over your head and still gives sexual pleasure because some foreskin is better than none

that's what you get for going privately and paying for the surgeons skill and time

His case has definitively established the market price of a foreskin; £20,000. Well, that's what the NHS paid him for his.
Notable, too, was his comment that he 'didn't want it to happen again'. Someone should tell him it cannot happen again since the foreskin doesn't grow back.  :D

Good info there. Although U havent got phimosis as such (Its ok when flaccid) my problems are when I get an etection. The fireskin tightens and can lodged  behind the head until I go flaccid again. Im going to ask for a referral to a Urogologist so Ill keep what you said in mind.

Not if it's done for a medical reason to improve the quality of life of the patient.

If it's done for cultural/religious reasons before the age of consent for the individual then yes, I would equate it with MGM.

Worth noting that female MGM tends to be rather more pernicious, apart from the 'perceived as tidier' aspect one of the desired effects is to reduce the sexual pleasure for the girl so that the male is in control of the sex in a relationship.
