if you are looking for a precise place i can recommend " kievinn" , it's an aparthotel, very good location just 2 minutes from "maidan nezalezhnosti"-independence square price at this place are fluctuating but you might get it now for October if not should be around 240-250 max but it's really nice , rooms with jacuzzi etc..
Other advice in general, apartments are more cheaper and nicer than hotels...i nean the nice hotels are 100+ per night anything under is a gamble...but for 40-50/ night you can find good apartments, use booking.com app for example, look at pictures, and reviews and most importantly stay in central area..maidan nezalezhnosti, kreschatyc street not far from them...why? safer, everything you need is there , if you don't know the language you will pay more for taxi etc..oh and buy a local sim for internet and use uber , good luck.

5 reviews, 5 negatives, no wonder you're jumping ship for foreign shores!  :dash:

it's not on kreschatyc but 3 minutes away, and 1 minute from the maidan square , you can find contact details kn TripAdvisor or booking for sure. They have 2 bedroom ap but have to check if it's available. They allow guests no problem...i stayed twice and i was very happy.

I did the Chernobyl tour, you'll have no problem finding the departure point. There's also a McDonald's there if you want to get a recognisable breakfast before you go. You can order from those self service terminals in English.

The metro is very good to travel to the main shopping areas from there. I did it in reverse. Stay at Maidan and travel over by metro to go to the Chernobyl tour.

Try one of Senator hotels, you should be able get them if book them in advance, both are girl friendly and close to city centre.
