I kind of see where your coming from  but surely there is a chance that an sp actually enjoys the job (at least some of the time ) whether because of the actual act or maybe the power trip ? or perhaps the money ?

Thanks. I was having some issues when posting from my mobile.

I dunno man, I find it hard to believe that having sex with strangers is a power trip. Its probably all well and good when the punters are young and good looking, but inevitably some are going to be old, ugly and smelly. Not sure if that's empowering really. But what do I know.

I've been with a fair few WGs across the world and even as a fairly young and healthy guy, they don't look like their very happy.most of the time.

There's a kind of empty look behind the eyes.

Some do seem to enjoy it though. So maybe this isn't a black and white thing.

Different horses different courses.

You're trying to read too much into it, I've had escorts 40+ years my junior treat me like the boyfriend they haven't seen for six months. They will tell you, the decent ones anyway, that as long as you turn up on time, clean, with the right money and don't act like a prick that's all that matters.

There are exceptions obviously, that's how EE's get such a reputation.

(in response to the red haired lady. Apologies but I can't get the quote thing to work properly.)

Because having sex with strangers is the same as banking?

I have no time for investment bankers, and I know a few, even in my own family. But I certainly don't class them as in the same vien as someone who opens their door, then their legs for someone they have never met before.

If you find it empowering, then good for you, but let's be honest. If you had the ability to make £200 ah hour by not banging geezers you don't know, you'd do it.

Your life, your choice, but let's at least call a spade a spade and admit its not th same as being a liar and a cheat (a la bankers and politicians).

They're not having to lie back and think of England while some dude does his business.

Although you are picky with your customers by all accounts, so I'll give you that. Its at least giving you some control.

There are jobs that would allow myself or others to charge £200+ an hour, I considered one that would allow me to charge £150 an hour, great money, insane hours, and rarely being home. I've got friends in cyber security and they can charge £300+ an hour for consulting. But that's top level and a lot to pay out to begin within (rather think I made the wrong choice, but I decided to not focus on coding).

Simply for me it was an obvious choice. I don't want to be on the road all the time, I like working close to home for both my day and escorting work. And having a full time job does allow me to be more picky, works in my favour, and minimises poor experiences for both sides. And ensures I'm rarely faking/lying back and thinking of england.

Really I don't view it that differently than when I plug into tinder for a one night stand, just I'm not getting pictures. But I get paid. Can't complain about that.

I really don't view it differently than most jobs. Different risks, but I get to set my rules on what is done, and who I see. Rare to find a job where you can set who you work with.

Excuse me TS, but you actually have a proper job as well from what I gather. That is hardly typical. Most don’t. Though a few students part time as hookers.

When SWs were more the accepted thing, they’d sometimes ask “how did you know I was working?” Of course I’d just smile nicely. But analysing it, it’s the utter lack of purpose. In their walk, their expression, even the moderately ‘respectable’ ones. They just look empty (the nicer ones, pleasantly so). They are very different from someone with a proper job. Even the street seller with cheap knock-off sunglasses for sale and bits of tack laid out on a black plastic sleet on the pavement has more sense of purpose. Whether or not they pay tax and declare their job honestly.

Honestly I'd be surprised if more don't have at least a part time job. It's too unsteady an income to solely rely on. (UK citizens at least). Especially in London. Or a partner that can pick up the slack. Too often the feast and famine is mentioned.

But then I may have a very different view of it all because it's only a very part time gig for me. I can't imagine it being comfortable as a full time gig for long term. But the smart ones more than certainly could make it work.

I have to disagree on this one with you. Prostitution can be an unreliable job if the prostitute is providing a crap service. Any girl that's doing a part-time job is probably because she is thinking about post-retirement from prostitution and ensuring she has a job to go to after that or she wants to work part-time and not see as many clients. You will find that the top service providers are usually quite busy and probably don't have a need for part-time jobs.

I'd disagree with your last sentence - the top service providers would be likely be intelligent enough to know they couldn't do this work until state retirement age. Given that they would most likely have another 'normal/civvy' job in place so they could carry on with that and make it a full-time thing of it when they decide it's time to leave the escorting work behind.

You are right, they would be intelligent enough to know they can't do this job forever, as prostitution has a shelf life and would have a part-time job. However, if they were very intelligent then they would invest that money into property or other investments and then they wouldn't have to ever work again.

+1. And even if they don't have that job in place when they start in the industry, the more intelligent SPs will look ahead and develop plans before they leave us.

That's very true. They do come and go and when the money runs out they comeback in some cases.

I'll wager, however, that they have a huge cost of sales (primarily in time, which can look like sunk cost), and that the number of hours they would actually sell would be relatively low - or at least the pattern would be bursty and fallow periods will be stressful.  Some of these, you also need to spend a lot on R&D, and burnout will follow.

I suspect that one of the advantages of WG is that the work comes to you, so long as you maintain a decent online offering.

I met a woman through WYP who was considering starting out and had a friend who's a WG.  As she put it:
 - the first guy pays for the hotel
 - the second guy is pocket money
 - the third guy pays for the extra laundry
 - the other(s) are extra pocket money

Still, you need to have a credit card etc to get going like that - and even with a WG friend she had not considered how many towels and bedcovers she would need and have to launder.

Sadly she won't let me break her in and is trying to stay Civvie - good for her, though its really hand to mouth for some people.

It frankly sickens me as I have no interest in buying that. I don’t see ‘touring’ girls. I expect the prossie to be clean, I don’t care that much if her sheets are freshly laundered M&S Egyptian fucking cotton.

The fancy dress is a sales pitch. Same with the make-up (usually badly applied if she bothers at all).

That was my point. A few of the top ones might not have a PT job. But the rest would be dumb not to. All have to be prepared for when the end comes. Or scenarios when hooking might not be possible anymore.

Actually they were jobs that would involve little cost sunk for me for setup. The companies provide you with pretty much everything, however it's a major life hog as you'd be looking at 12-24 hour notice to be the other end of the country or another part of the world for days or weeks on end.

Engineers in science do earn a lot with the right companies.

Always need a credit card as you need to build credit. Doesn't matter what job. Towels and linen isn't a big expense, six of each suit easy as long as you're not doing conveyor. A one off expense.

Lingerie, condoms, and lube add up a lot more over time. Toys and tech even more.

It's certainly a big set up, but maintenance is very much on the lingerie, condoms and lube. Laundry isn't that big a cost in the scheme of things.

1) I know.  Many also have fucked up lives.  You have to be a great quant to really do well.  Really really well often means get lucky with IPO, and its roulette.

2) I think the problem with laundry is that you need to know to take a big stash, and then its going to take a lot of time to get through unless you have a friendly service wash and more than you need.

You can tell a beginner trying it out who's just got what the hotel provide, believe me.

Its quite hard to find service washes in many places now (I've had that washer broken feeling!), and I've met many girls who don't work from the luxury of a home with a washer and separate dryer.  I don't think a washer/dryer is likely to have the capacity.

1) pretty much every science engineer I know is married, or in a long term relationship. And all seem pretty happy, including several of the partners I've met. Make of that what you will. But it is London, so may be the exception. A lot of engineers do tend to live close to the capital.

2) I think the difference there is between a hotel incall and a home in call. I've never operated incalls from hotels, so can't say the troubles that could occur. I operate from my home, and very low frequency so it's no problem for me to run a load after a meet.

Certainly the broken washer hit me even in my in call. I even dealt with a broken boiler. Just stuck to outcalls until it was sorted.

Am I missing something here? How do HMRC know the real life identity of the person in the profile you send in to them?

Or do they address the tax bill to cumslutingrid c.o. adultwork?  :)

To quote Yosser Hughes, "Go on, give us a job. Go on; give us a go. I can trap people in nets as well."

I could do that.

I haven't; but if HMRC are paying disgruntled ex-partners and ex-wives up to £250,000 to blow the whistle on tax evaders, this could be a nice little earner.

I`ve just sat down and read all the way through this thread, and for the life if me I cannot understand exactly what all the bitterness, animosity and ill humour being displayed to the Sex Workers is in aid of and why it is bubbling to the top of the cauldron in such an antagonistic, and in some cases vicious way.

We all know, or firmly believe, that Sex Workers do not pay any, or as much, tax as they ought, but this is something that would apply to 90% of the population if they were in the right circumstances, or thought they could get away with it, and I doubt that all the contributors to this thread are completely innocent of it, or of wishing they could manage it. If it`s something you would be prepared to do (if you were brave enough or had the chance) then don`t moan about anybody else because they ARE brave enough and take the chance

However, the practice has the drawback that the accumulation of wealth by tax evasion is now becoming virtually impossible with the restrictions against money laundering, and the difficulties of hiding accumulated wealth and sources of income from the attentions of the tax inspector, and any speculator who is successful in managing to avoid these attentions is probably only having a temporary success.

But what has the question of how many blow jobs, massages, fucks or wanks it takes to amount to a Sex Worker`s living wage to do with us punters anyway?

We have the same alternatives in punting as in any other aspect of our lives of what we choose to buy and how much we will pay for it. If I hire a decorator to paint my ceilings I don`t expect to tell him how many ceilings he ought to paint  to pay for his holidays, or, indeed, where he should go for them, nor would there be any point in my telling my car service department that x number of their services would buy me a new car, however much I should think so - their reply would no doubt be offensive, and end in "off".

Like everything else in life, if you want it enough you pay for it, and how much you have to pay depends on how many other people want it as well and how great a supply there is, and if you think it is too expensive, then don`t buy it, and if enough people agree with you and follow your example then either the price will come down or the product will simply be withdrawn from the market  - then you WOULD all start to moan.

Practically all punters are doing something which they don`t want their relatives and friends to find out about, so we have no right whatever to expect the Sex Workers to have any higher moral standards.

It all depends on how you launder the money I guess. I don't think prostitutes can pay tax on prostitution as the law would see it as an immoral income and probably not allow it. Therefore, like many other prostitutes, you would need to have another business to run the money through and pay taxes that way. But that would be quite tricky and require lots of skill and patience's which you probably lack, so I guess you probably don't pay tax at all.  :D
The revenue use trade classifications for all aspects of work and business activity. To the best of my knowledge there isn't one for prostitution, may be one for personnal service,   so its up to the SP when and if declaring their tax, to chose something suitable. And yes the revenue will allow it and want people to declare the tax. :hi:

I'm not aware of any classification I just use 'Escort' and the accountant I current use submits simple sole-trader returns on my behalf, no cover business required to divert anything. As far as I am aware anyone can submit for any type of trade they wish, however writing 'drug dealer' on your tax return is probably not wise.

"DONATIONS"

So you should be able to claim tax relief if you donate enough to garter group inc

A lot of girls have Loubs bought by a sugar daddy or pay pig. I think they are overrated, way sexier shoes out there Gucci ballet pumps for one or KG gladiator sandals.

You can get decent kicks at shoe zone for a tenner

You can also chose to eat discarded food out of dustbins.

The soles of my feet became sore over time and the shoe would not support the area around my ankles. The area around my ankles became very sore for a period of time until I changed shoes.  Had to constantly keep stretching my feet and rolling them until I got new shoes, I was hmm... not so financial ok at that time so had to deal with it.

I would recommend not compromising on shoes at all. At least get shoes from clarks or similar quality, there really is a difference. You can buy new shoes but not new feet.

tbh alot who want expensive stuff just because it is expensive, or a brand name, quality or design might not be the real reason

True, but but a pair of shoes made in England like George Webb, Trickers or Grenson. Resole them and they will last forever. Buy a pair of £10 and they might last a few months. Also contrary to popular belief apart from limited edition ones Dr Martens are not made in the UK, haven't been since the 90s I think, also Clarks are made in places like Vietnam, they used to be made in Tipperary.

Of which you are clearly one  :hi:
My immediate thought as well. Some twats interpret everything according to their own morbid wish to help people who don’t need help.  :timeout:

:angelgirl: all he needs is a damsel in distress (to the tune of Nights in White Satin)

Try UKE. You silly boy. Some prοssie might pretend to be a damsel for you (comes under ‘role play’ and may cost you extra :sarcastic: )

That's Greek to me.

For many a lot of what they earn goes on drugs, many have trouble getting together credit for a phone let alone gathering wealth.

That's why they like AW as it's cheaper than putting a card in the local shop window  :music:

Mate,
Your meeting the wrong escorts. And quite a sweeping judgement. I guess you get what you pay for. Or are you just picking them up on street corners.

The optimum word there is 'potential', you have no idea how much any WG earns, you don't know how many punters they would want to see in a day or how many times they actually achieve that figure. There's a long thread on SAAFE about how quiet they are sometimes.

No doubt that some may well be skint, but I've had outcall's where they've turned up in a better car than I have, so they can't be that hard up.

Also I wouldn't want anyone to confuse my place of work with where I live, a lot of WGs don't live at their incall place.

Much prefer the girls who seem to be studying or have some kind of real career and do it only to top funds up. Some girls aren’t back to backing them because they seem to not actually want to. Know  one stunning girl who doesn’t quite know her worth meet AW meets in a rent by hour place that’s not exactly flashy. And then go pay for a suite for her agency ££££ jobs. It’s relative I guess. You get what you pay for.
