There used to be this house near peel street, thornaby just outside stockton centre. The reality is that very few could tell the difference between chinese and thai [japanese possibly]. The impression I got from the Gateshead flat is that it was a setup like some of the EE girls - that they were touring.

I also disagree, however as i have spent a total of 2 years out of the last 20 in Japan i find it quite easy to distinguish between them but i may fit into magpiesfan's "very few" category?

I sort of take the point [though it depends on the Chinese girl - if that makes sense - in other words which bit of China are they from]. In other words I ve met Kazakh girls [not the recent diamonds one] who looked just like Uzbeks, who looked like [Chinese] Hui. Thanks Yorkshire123 - I had always thought that Chinese and Japanese were distinguishable before I had the conversations I referred to. I did google the differences, but some sites stated that the differences were a myth, whereas other sites referred to differences.

It would appear that native Chinese & Japanese people are from the same racial group i.e. Mongoloid , but the term is not used much nowadays because of it's association with people who suffer from Down's Syndrome and is now seen as derogatory.

The main racial group is sub-divided into ethnic groups covering areas such as Eskimos/Native Americans including South Amerca, the Malaysia/Phillipines group and the Pacific Islanders group.

Any physical difference between Chinese & Japanese people will therefore be very minor and likely to be the result of subtle "mixing" of populations due to immigration over the years, particularly as regards Japan.

One thing that is usually accepted is that men of this particular racial group have little or no facial/body hair and also the women have proportionately short legs.

I have also been told by a lady friend of mine that the men are not particularly well-endowed but I can't betray a confidence by identifying her.

After the amount of time I've spent in South East Asia and my interest in local specimens, i'm pretty sure i can tell thai from filipino, Indonesian to Malaysian, definitely Chinese to Japanese and Chinese to Malaysian Chinese. Chinese to HK is ok.  I might struggle with a Taiwanese, Korean and Japanese 3some but still would have a go!

When i'm here and in need. I tend to keep an eye on the oriental opportunities. I can't remember the low fell setup but i do recall a place down the teams (apartment just off the dual carriageway) with a thai getting satisfactory feedback. There was also a thai on ENE site (they have an asian section - now empty). haven't had a chance to look recently but no doubt will in the coming weeks

In the past when looking for Asians in the north, Carlisle has always surfaced in the results and seemed to have a decent supply. I know it's a bit of a hike, but it the past it been that or Leeds.

There is definitely a demand for PRC girls and with the city so crammed with them, i'm sure there will be action in some certain quarters. In Japanese it's konichiwa that's so well known. Far better to ask if she does keen-back-koh (bondage).

In mandarin Nin hao (neen how[l]?) I think.

To me Japanese girls have paler skin and as mention more oval faces. I would say Thais have the darkest skin of the three. I listen to chinese girls talk in groups if it sounds like "sheesh sho" type phonetics, I presume chinese, with Japanese I listen for a hard oh sound like in lock.

The Professor is correct konichiwa is hello in japanese.  In chinese it is "Ni hao" (nee how).  They should reply with the same though they can say "Ni hao ma?" Sheng does and she means "Hi how are you?".  If you reply with "Wo hun hao" (I'm good)  and you may get that little bit extra :-)  Politeness can open many doors in China.
