Just a warning... I passed a French sounding hotel on Denby Dale Road, Wakefield this morning and in the room up stairs closest to road was full of coppers. Might not be punting related but thought i'd give a heads up

You sure it's the one with a French sounding name on Denby Dale Road?

The only one i know with a French sounding name is on Monckton Road, Wakefield

I stayed there before Xmas for a night, not with a girl just a place to crash after a night on the piss.

Room is pretty basic but warm but the worst bed I ever slept in. I read last year they have stopped girls working there but my mattress must have been in the busiest room the had for the last 10 yrs, more lumps than a Toby carvery mashed spud

I understand that chain are actively discouraging punters and working girls by insisting on ID for all guests and visitors

I had the same problem in a motel in Oldham - had used it a few times but when I tried again I got a message that I and anyone with me would have to provide ID - haven't been back! Anyone used Betweennineandfive.com - looks OK to me.

This is correct.

They have a legal obligation to ID their guests.

their 'staying' guests - if you're going to the bar, I don't know that they have the same obligation (unless for age verification).
however, i guess arguing with hotel staff is a quick way to have yourself told to get the fuck off the premises

I was told by the manager of a "large" chain that they are meant to ID anyone that "stays" in the bedrooms regardless of how long the stay is.

This is why the majority of hotels prefer payment by credit card as that automatically ID's the card owner.

Fair enough.
It's total BS though

Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972.

Under this, every provider of accommodation has to retain for 12 months the name and nationality of all adult guests – and, if you are from outside the UK, Ireland or Commonwealth (which as far the original order is concerned makes you “an alien”), it also requires passport or ID card number, place of issue and the next place you plan to stay. The order requires these records to be open for inspection by the police, or anyone else authorised by the home secretary.

Have a read at this.  :hi: :hi:

I wish it were bullshit BUT it ain't. Fortunately most hotel ignore this outdated, obsolete and highly draconian law.

The hotel you are talking about is called campanile. I used to punt here loads back in 2013 2014 on adultwork. Lots of girls used to work from there. There’s a car park and you don’t have to pass through a reception or anything. The rooms are all on outdoor corridors. Not been there for years though, didn’t realise anyone still worked from there

Yes, we know
And the point is that in the last year or so they seem to have tightened up on the need for all guests and room visitors to provide ID. Thats a group wide change, not just the specific hotel

Years ago I used to do business in Milton Keynes and used the same hotel chain for stopovers as it was cheap. Straight opposite was a 'club' called Pink Palace which I believe was a gay bar....now I wonder where they went if they hooked up....
