Hi Guys
I just wanted a bit of advice.
What would be a preferred business name to use that would be discreet to show on transactions.
Thanks

Not rent-a-cunt.
Don't think that'll go down very well.

Something very generic so it allows for any story to be created.

Sado masochistic sex services ltd. Might not be discrete but vastly reduces any chance of a punter seeking redress for crap service from his CC company..

How about "Gash for Cash" or "Mugs R Us", seriously how many punters are you expecting to part with their credit / debit card details to a Prossie
Granted there are a few deluded pricks out there but not too many I hope

Not a silly question.. But what services are going to be paid for using this card? How much and frequent will folks need to pay?

I am guessing you want a "discrete" name.. But hey, there is not much discrete about a handful of 3 digit transactions payable to Vagiflex Services or whoever..

Any punter would have to be a fucking moron to leave a trail straight to his employer detailing how he is trying to defraud the company submitting fake expenses.
Not saying you personally are looking to scam anyone but this would be an ideal way to do so  :dash:

Ellie's Juice Bar.

There was one on [Removed by admin] who posted under the name Giraffeman who did just that!
Posted field reports on pnet for most of the Sandy's Superstars girls :paid for on the company credit card.
Wrecked the finances of the company, a number lost their jobs as a result of the damage he did - he served a brief term as  a guest of Her majesty !
A cautionary tale.

Ouch!  :scare: Hope you didn't have an OH to have her suspicions raised by that transaction, Laid back bloke.

I've not an OH to check my credit card bills for over 15 years; but last Friday night, I tried to buy some AW Credits for the first time in a VERY long time. It was late & for some reason the transaction didn't go through. I rang the credit card company and the woman there said the card had been blocked because it was an unusual transaction. During the course of the conversation, she used the name that AW uses for transactions like this and assured me that my card would be un-blocked.

As it was 11.00 pm by this time, I did the sensible thing & went to bed, thinking I'd buy the Credits on Saturday morning. Only when I tried to do so, I found the card was still blocked. The bloke I spoke to then kept referring to "AWork".

Not that it really matters in the great scheme of things, but I couldn't help wondering if they knew what that company is. I'll examine my next credit card bill with special interest.

Instead of buying AW credits online via card, why don't you buy PaySafe Vouchers from a newsagent or any Co-Op supermarket which you can then use on AW to top up.

you could still use the Debit/Credit Card to buy the vouchers from the newsagents/supermarket only it will not arouse any suspicion on your bank/credit card statement when it shows up as Ali's Newsagent or The Co-operative.

It's not easy to put these names pass the company whom you are setting up the card machine with, as they usually require copies of your accounts and bank statements. You would have to bew turing over in £millions in order to use such names.

You'll be shocked at how many men use their company cards (or even personal) at lap dancing clubs, etc. If you own the business yourself, you don;t have to explain to anyone else, other than your accountant (and possibly the HMRC) as to the nature of these expenses.

For Money Laundering Purposes, any card company providing you with a PIN/Swiping machine will carry out due diuligence work and ensure that you DO own a Juice Bar, or you do have a legitimate business in that profession.

Yes but I am assuming the OP has already been through that due diligence process and is set up to take card payments?
I am fairly certain you can the edit the 'descriptor' which appears on the customers statement to a preferred one although it is some years since I had such a business account. It does not have to be the actual individual name or company name?

In hindsight I would drop the catering and change it to services? £200 on catering may stand out.
