Had some generic Cialis which I normally prefer but went to top up supplies at ASDA in Southampton .After a short consultation during which I only gave my name ...no address.. no contact phone number  I was offered four 100ml Generic Viagra for £9. ( Couldn't get Cialis -proved to be a result !)
Got to say they were VERY successful ...rock hard and absolutely no side effects whatsoever !!!

Just for peoples info.....

Do you need a prescription or is it just a matter of having a consultation with a pharmacist?

I've thought about visiting a supermarket chemist and seeing what's available and Asda in Southampton are just around the corner.

You have a chat with a pharmacist. The pharmacist then is the one who gives you the prescription. There are leaflets for ED on their info leaflets board that explains it all.

£9 is a bargain I would say. When I went there a year ago it was ~£25 for four tablets.

I think the Patent on Viagra as now run out ( or will very soon ) so the price of V and all the copys will come down.

I paid £2.50 for four tablets in Asda a few weeks ago. I was told this was the price in all Asda pharmacies. You did buy Sildenafil citrate, right? I was also told they sold both the 50mg and 100mg pills at the same price. So I'm wondering why you were charged more than 3 times as much.

I'll check prices for dong drugs and milligram counts at my local Asda here in (Glasgow) and report back if I have anything worthwhile to add. I find these threads most informative.

Great advice on this thread.

For those who would feel awkward about having a chat with a pharmacist can obtain viagra online from the superdrug website once you have completed a short questionnaire. I don't need the stuff but I love to use it every now and then and I have never had any negative side effects.

A bit pricey at £7.50 per pill when others are claiming they paid £2.50 for four pills at Asda.

yeah that is the downside but on the upside (for people who use it leisurely rather than as a requirment) it is very strong stuff, confidential transaction (info private from your gp) and avoids having to see a gp or a pharmacist. Of course if you need viagra as a requirement or if you don't mind the awkwardness of buying in store then go for the cheaper option.

Offline Frenchie

I can only state what my experience was . I went into the little consultation room .... I told him that I had no health problems Diabetes , heart, etc etc... No prescription was actually written out . I can only say that I was very happy with the price of the generic Viagra .

The tablets were oval large and white ..a bit like a codeine or paracetamol...

Personally I'm not at all embarrassed by discussing these things . In fact this was my return visit to ASDA as the previous day when I had a chat to the female middle aged sales lady she told me to return the next morning as the pharmacist  wasn't there .

Unless you have performance anxieties or any other issues I would leave viagra well alone mate. At your age you most likely don't need it.

I agree. It's not without side effects for most people even if those are minor. About the Internet scare stories. These days nobody should be buying it from unlicensed pharmacies on the Internet.

Does anyone know when the Patent for Cialis expires ?
When I have had to use them, they work better for me than The Blue Pill......

Half a 20mg tablet will keep things going for me for a couple of days over the weekend when the Wifey wants to play. :drinks:

Although the patent for Cialis does not expire until 2017 and Levitra 2018, the inevitable price drop of Viagra is also likely to considerably bring down the prices of these two other erectile dysfunction treatments in order for them to survive.

I believe when I bought them at Asda late last year it was £5 for a pack of 4 so I bought 4 packs (the maximum allowed) to save going back too soon. I can easily imagine they are lower now, but how can they make any money out of them at that price especially when a pharmacist has to be involved? They must be selling trailer loads to make it worthwhile!

Offline Frenchie

I actually asked the pharmacist at ASDA if they had many men buying tablets and he said no....

I personally think that buying from a supermarket pharmacy is an excellent idea . The price is good , the product is definitely 100% genuine and as I have stated , the product and its effect were excellent .....I thought that I might take half a tablet - but as the punt was expensive and with a new girl I didn't want to risk anything going wrong .
Previously that week I had had a 30 min punt with a regular girl - that time I took a 20ml  GENERIC  Cialis and I had a few problems..although I think this was more down to not feeling very well and the experience.... which for all sorts of reasons didn't 'get me going ' so to speak ...

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Viagra on the next punt --but that will be in a few months ..

So if I have got this righ/t?

You pop into a local Asda?

Tell the pharmacist that you have ED?

You get a script for the blue pills or something similar?

You pay less than a tenner for four?

 No Names no pack drill

Right ?

Correct. except as noted in red here above. You give a name but I don't think they even needed an address.

The pharmacist will ask you questions about your health and any medication that you are currently taking.  I suppose if you get refused at one location due to your response you could try another store.  If you get knocked back you should be entitled to an explanation for the refusal if you ask politely.  Diabetics (dont know which type) and people with bad hip/pelvic injuries can get it prescription free from a GP.

I was on the asda site yesterday's looking for the nearest branch ...
On the webpage it mentioned there would be a consultation fee ..
Is this right ??
If so how much is it as it dident give a figure.  :unknown:

Offline Frenchie

I haven't left anything out of my OP.
NO consultation fee.. and besides the fact that I didn't want to give my address or mobile number -it would of been completely pointless as I live in France..In fact this was the reason I gave for buying them  in the UK at ASDA -is  the fact that besides getting a very expensive Giving my name hopefully ensures that the next time I go back to that branch ( or any branch of ASDA's ?) that the process will be even quicker !!
prescription from my doctor -it's impossible to walk into a supermarket in France and buy Viagra over the counter. My french is adequate - but it's not that good !!!!
With health issues , the pharmacist just fills out a very short  questionnaire on the computer... it   just so happens that I've recently had a full MOT with my doctor and I know I haven't got diabetes etc....
My need for viagra is based on the fact that as soon as I get it in my head there may be a problem ..then guess what !!!!! The pills give me that bit of confidence so that 99% of the time I don't worry . I mean you don't have a problem getting a stiffy when you wank..
or do some people suffer that bad....
If anyone goes to ASDA ( especially you Southampton boys ! ) please report back on the forum  . Any further Q's please feel free to PM me.

Offline Frenchie

mh.....I never even mentioned ED ..just tell them you want to buy some Viagra !

Before going to ASDA I tried Boots . As there were about ten people waiting for prescriptions I sidled up to a nearby male sales assistant who was stacking shelves and  said 'Man to man - can you tell if the pharmacy sells Viagra over the counter.?'

In his best Paul O'Grady  voice he said ' Ill go and enquire for you ..' Bless him . The answer was a polite 'No, not without a doctors prescription '
So Asda is your answer !!!

Offline Frenchie

Sorry ! posting about french doctor got ballsed up -I'm sure you got the jist !!

Would you rather have a consutlation with a male pharmacist ("Hah, he can't get it up") or a female pharmacist ("poor chap")?

Offline Frenchie

I wouldn't give a toss (no pun intended )....they don't produce millions of tablets each year for nothing !!!

The pharmacist at ASDA was about 35 (?) .. don't forget , one day HE might need them !

Things like this really don't phase me....try going into the surgery  of your french family doctor (who thankfully speaks english ) and explaining that because you've banged the arse off a couple of girls when you visited the UK you'd like a check up and where do you go for such a thing  ? Answer .. the  local hospital where nobody spoke english !! Try that for nerve racking !

All clear , by the way....and the second visit three weeks ago.

Update

So After reading about this on here I thought I would give it a try.

My problem is that although I can get a stiffy any other time when I book a punt I end up with a mr floppy on all but rare occasions.

I am fairly sure this is a time related thing as the times I have not seen mr floppy has been with a WG that has no concept of time. Too much pressure to perform within a timeframe.

Anyway, Ordered the Blue Pills online and picked them up at a Local Lloyds Pharmacy but this does leave a financial trail which IMHO is not a good thing. 4 x Viagra (50mg) cost around £40. Success wood every time.

Next time went thru my GP with no problems as I am over 50 he said get 100mg and break them in half. Problem is that I dont have any other medical problems so a visit to the GP is rare for me and Mrs Neal is nosey. Cost around £44 for 4 x100 mg.

Tried after reading this thread to buy direct from Lloyds but a prescription is required ( or order online).

So on a second visit to Asda (Colchester) had the pharmacist fit me inbetween other customers. Wouldnt have minded either as she was a 30ish Possibly Brazillian or Portugese stunner. She went thru The Dr Thom online thing  (Lloyds online Doc) Lots of questions prob 2o mins worth. But she did want ID and something with an address on it which I didnt have but as she was under time pressure she gave me the stuff anyway. Maximum of 16 pills at 100mg as I opted for the strongest for £18. Result , next 32 punts sorted.

So I did give my real name and had to show a debit card with my name on it but I didnt have my address proof and gave a false mobile number.

I did feel that she did want proof of my address but as she was under time pressure she let it slide.

Not as easy as has been described on this thread but still a result.

What I actually got was Generic Viagra ( sinfuldell something or other) that are Blue in colour.

Tried then once so far and the same as real Viagra, Good wood but headache.

Thanks Neal69 - will pop over to my ASDA for a appointment and see if I can get same - is 100 mg ok to cut in half to 50mg or cut into quarter 25mg?
Any other issues apart from the headaches?

Neal69

  • Guest
It was my GP that suggested cutting in half to get 50mg so I cant see any problems with cutting into quarters for 25mg.

Like I said above I am sure its a Time pressure thing with me so I may try the 25mg route as I am sure taking the Blue Pill is just a prop.

I don't normally get headaches only when I have been drinking something out of the ordinary for me such as Red Wine.So Yes the headache is a problem for me but none of the other symptoms that are listed in the box have applied to me and I have found that I can drive a car without issues as long as I take a paracetemol or 2 at the same time.

Otherwise in good health for a 50+ smoker who has never seen he inside of a Gym.

Personally I prefer Lloyds its probably more expensive but you do all the shitty questions online then choose a branch, you walk in tell whoever on counter you have a scrip to collect from the online pharmacy it usually takes about 30 seconds from talking to walking out.

Depends what you mean by 'genuine Viagra', Viagra is just a trade name for a generic drug. The sole manufacturer's licence has just expired meaning that the drug can be sold by other manufacturers now making it cheaper.

Lloyds prices have shot down in the last few weeks, 50% cheaper than six months ago.

It's the good side of capitalism ;-)
