Most members don't have this option I think: that functionality is only available I believe to members whom Admin has decided are experienced enough to be a helper. It sounds like you don't know how the tools work and how to apply them. Certainly you SHOULD NOT change a rating unless OP has explicitly asked for it. Members have been banned for doing this and abusing their authority.

Not sure how you deal with this. I'd probably change the rating back straight away and report my own post apologising to Admin. Then I'd go and find out how to be a responsibly helper.

Well I wasn't aware of it.

No one has ever told me I couldn't use it.

I took it for granted that everyone had the function.

I also left CLEAR instructions as to why I had changed it.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise the OP had made a mistake with the rating he had chosen. No one would have intentionally given a positive rating if treated like that.

However, I will drop admin a line for clarification on this function I seem to have but others don't, and also mention changing the rating from positive to negative. Although I have already explained when I changed it the reason why I had changed it.

Sorry if I got it wrong. Everyone however was querying the rating that was given.

Lewis, you're a HELPER not a MODERATOR, as such it's not for you to change ratings unless requested to do by the OP, MrPoopyPants did this previously and argued about the logic behind it, he had his helper privileges withdrawn, and got all butt hurt and ended up being banned.

It has been previously discussed and confirmed that ratings shouldn't be changed by helpers unless requested by the OP, in this instance the OP hasn't responded so a report to Admin for him to consider changing it may be appropriate.

It's not about debating what the rating was / should have been (I agree it's an obvious negative) but it's taking a helper issue and acting like a moderator.

I'm certainly not arguing the logic behind it. I just saw that the option to change the rating was there. I hadn't seen it before.
I took it from granted everyone else had the same option. I wasn't aware that it would make an instant change.
I thought it would ping a message to admin (in the same way reporting a post does) requesting if it could be changed.

I was only trying to be helpful. Not my fault that I'm not clairvoyant 

Now that I know about it, the mechanical workings of it, etc. I certainly won't be abusing it.

All I'm saying is that it would have been nice to have had a heads up about it, and the do's and don'ts.

True true, unfortunately I am not able to get out as much as I used to so don;t have anything of use that is still online - the turnaround is incredible these days, no one seems to stay in one place for long, profile names keep changing or getting swapped out.

My only regular is Cleo in Ealing as anal is a must for me, as I said no sli girls offering anal who don't lie or complain about it when you get there - unless anyone can think of any in London or surrounding areas.

Fair enough, the same has happened to most of us on here. In future, when you have a bad punt do please try to review as soon as possible so you can you can still link their profile etc. Even if it it's only in time to put off/warn just one or two punters it would be worthwhile.

It goes without saying that review ratings must only be changed when the author of the review (and no one else) requests the change, either them posting in their review topic or reporting their post. Never should a review rating be changed solely because you disagree with it. It's their review and they get to pick the rating, if they picked neutral when everyone thinks it should be negative, that is their choice, you can voice your opinion but never use the facility to change it.
