What would you do if it became illegal to purchase sexual services, would you stop punting altogether or carry on, taking into account the implications of prosecution and possibly the risk of being placed on the sex offenders register?  :scare:

We don't purchase sexual services, we pay for the girls time. What two consenting adults do in that time is up to them.

If the girl I've paid and planned to play Scrabble with finds me irresistible and want to have sex with me I don't complain.

No that's what Americans say to get round the issue of it being illegal there, but they then can't discuss services something which a lot of us like to confirm before an appointment. We can't claim we're paying for time if we discuss services and adjust pricing accordingly but then again it's legal here.

If it was illegal here, whether or not I'd do it I think would depend on how stringently it was enforced. If say cops were posing as escorts and doing undercover stings then yeah I'd probably not bother.

Would totally depend how vigorously it was enforced. Given the implications of being prosecuted, I would only punt if the chances were very much that I wouldn't be caught in the act.

I think we'd pay a lot more, get fucked about a lot more, find ourselves in tight spots a lot more, not get the desired services a lot more.... And punt a lot less

I'm surprised anyone in Iceland takes their thermals off for long enough!

Offline Rocket Scientist

Curiously I'm led to understand Icelandic society is actually sexually permissive. A liberal "fuck first, names later" dictum. Which why I don't get all this paying for sex is illicit thing!

Stop. I'd miss it no doubt, but the risk to my "non-punting" life not worth the reward.

They can make it illegal if they like but for a punter to be prosecuted it would have to be "found committing", in the act. It might be easier to enforce in a brothel, massage parlour or similar but extremely difficult in a private house as a warrant would be required. It would hardly be a suitable use for the big red key entry method, more a polite knock. By the time they got in, you should have stopped playing hide the sausage and playing Scrabble or discussing your future finances, whatever?

This basically. There are parts of the biz that are illegal now - running a brothel is, most of them aren't exactly low profile, are known to the policed and the owners carry on doing it. If the police just didn't care then not much change. If they put the effort in then I guess I would avoid TOFTT and stick to well reviewed girls but I imagine their rates would sky rocket as others did the same.

I think mostly it would be done for show, the police would clamp down on RLDs but I find it hard to imagine they would have the resources or interest in doing serious sting operations.

Police are overstretched as it is, they wouldn't waste their time trying to enforce this.

Besides, how many coppers are punters?  ;)  :D

There always seemed to be quite a few 'short haircuts' ;) among the other punters in the waiting area in Sandy's Prestwich parlour - less than a mile down the road from Whitefield police station - when I was waiting for my turn.

One way round that is a free fuck with every £60 pie.

I'd have 3-4 trips a year to somewhere that it remained legal and have a blowout for a week or so

:hi: Years ago when I started I used to see WG`s who asked for Cash to be put on side they never touched it it was counted on in front of them .

I asked why seemed some girls had taken cash argeeing to services gone to hide and were old bill.

I have been in the Soho walk ups when the Border people have knocked with police, it all goes quite and they check the passports and go there way,

The maid explained they are nice people looking out for the trafficed ones  :hi: :hi:

Cant see it happening but control of trafficed girls is worry :drinks:

Not this again!  :dash:

Won’t ever happen and if it did it would be unenforceable.
Drugs are illegal. Does it stop people buying and selling them?

If prostitution was illegal?

I'd book a sex therapist who would show me how to be a better fuck

I read an article a few years back, it was an interview with some high up police commander, who says he does not have time or the resources for two consenting adults partaking in acts of prostitution by free will.
His time and resources are for women that are trafficked and being forced against there free will and underage girls/boys into prostitution.

Would like to think I'd disobey a bad, unjust law.
Just like many brave gay men did before the late 60s.
