How do one and all
Well I’ve suddenly got into hunted the tv show on ch4,and being a tech dinosaur ,am amazed to discover what they can find out !!
Am I being paranoid and worrying over nothing about using the phone and I pad ,or is it for TV ??

I’ve just come back to the forum and the use of AW after being away with family stuff and now am genuinely thinking Christ alive who is watching and reading this ?
 I use incognito but would love any tips on wiping history of google etc for I pad and phone
As every thing is done online now rather than the back pages of the evening post / Friday ads !!

I would take that show with a heavy pinch of salt, the internet is a fantastic resource and yes everyone leaves a footprint behind. In reality who cares enough to try to put it all together, certainly not your average joe. If you are being reckless and careless with history then you might get busted, but it would be for that reason, not because someone has decided to do some random digging

Agree with the above, nobody from the police or government gives a shit about you going on naughty websites, only your wife will care.

Use Incognito, get a punting phone, never give any real details that could identify you.

If you're that worried about it, then forget google for starters. They track everything.  Use 'duckduckgo' instead. They do not track and are discreet, but the search results are not as comprehensive, not too bad though.

If you use gmail, drop it in favour of Protonmail. Highly secure and encrypted. Downside is limited storage and functionality though. If you need full functionality email/contacts/calendar, better to use Outlook.com instead of gmail.

Thanks for your input gents ,
I know it’s tv show and about ratings so do bear that in mind ,but as said AMA dinosaur when it comes to tech so was blown away at the potential capabilities of those that need to find out
The post on duck duck go is intriguing but the reviews are very mixed
Is it not the same as incognito ?
How safe is incognito and do I still have to wipe history with it also how can you wipe google tracing you history ?

Use a separate browser like Firefox and set it to wipe all data every time you close an internet session or lock your device.
Yes you can be tracked but not by your average guy in the street.
