I must admit to having done a Gatwick Hotel outcall once way back when I had a free evening.

Would be interested to hear from other members experiences of punting en route to or from the plane

I can vouch that it is very doable. Bus is probably quickest (the taxi drivers who have queued for 1/2hr won't thank you for the £6 fare) - though depending on her choice of incall hotel, the monorail pod from T5 to the car park, and then a short walk, could work - if you haven't overpacked.

Best of all is the Sofitel which is connected directly to T5 (especially if she has booked it)- and they do also have part day-use rates.

The biggest evidence of why airports are good for this is because so many woman ply their trade there.
