Is there a single massage shop in London that does HE that is not TCM ?

If not, why not. I suppose one thing might be that most British "masseuse" cant actually do massages but why dont they just learn ?

Yes in dozens and dozens - and they're everywhere.

Thai shops and spas aren't TCMs, so that's lots, to start with.

The Athrees are Indian, so that's 3 more.

Most of the Chinese shops are not TCMs, either. They're no more TCMs, than the Thai or Indian shops. That's a lot more to add to the list.

So, the conclusion has to be that you're more likely to get a HE, in a shop that isn't a TCM.

No, it means Traditional Chinese Medicine and is for use by, properly qualified, Chinese medical practitioners, only and in the Chinese Medicine shops or practices, that they run.

Many of the TCM shops offer massages but not all offer extras. They must have one or more doctors present, at any time, and be Members of their professional regulatory body - the ATCM.

While all that is true many if not most people on here use it to mean chinese massage joint or even (as has been mentioned) oriental massage joint. Like real words it seems that acronyms can change meaning in different contexts

I'd say the number of proper TCMs in London has either remained static or even dropped slightly, as opposed to the number of Chinese 'remedies' shops offering rub and tug rather than herbs and acupuncture.

Even then, I can only think of 10 or so strictly 'legit' TCMs in London.
