The apartments actually in the Marrakesh plaza are all family apartments and are strictly no no.
Their are apartments just outside the plaza that I have used, previously, that look onto the plaza but I prefer ones which are maybe 5 or 10 minutes walk, and their are plenty to choose from. The standard can be whatever u want , as the saying goes, U pay ur money and take ur choice.

Just had some news from my contact.
One of his English clients paid the girls in forged Euro notes and the police got involved.

WTF. Obviously thought they would never be able to tell the difference. What a muppet. I'll report back when I have more details.

I hope he gets to spend at least a few days behind bars.

Here's the update. I gave these guys my contacts number. One of the foursome paid the girl with fake Euros. Girl calls Police , Police arrive, the four amigos are shitting themselves. Foursome call my contact, he arrives , talks to Police, they agree to let it slide provided he pays the girl and 5000 dirhams towards their coffee break fund.

Anyone who books an apartment or hotel , in Morocco, is required by law to provide a copy of their passport or id card. When I heard what had happened I. asked my contact , who the guy was, and he whatsapped me a copy. This guy is no longer just a regular punter but he has committed a criminal offence. I have no intention of naming and shaming unless he comes on here and starts with the bullshit. He should come on and give his side of the story, if he wishes.
Frankly  , the Morroccans hold British people in very high regard, more so than other Europeans, it takes only a few idiots to pull these kind of stunts and we will all get labelled as crooks and thiefs and wgs will start insisting on being paid upfront or even refusing to go with British punters.

If they had prosecuted him , he would have had to pay his lawyer and the court imposed fine would have been hell of a lot more than that. Also he'd have had to stay there to await his trial, if he'd been bailed.

They were very fortunate to have a local contact to smooth things over.

I would have tipped the contact for his help too.

When I was out there the locals were very polite and friendly as a general rule.

Nike what kind of food do the cafes there sell. I'm not a big fan of couscous or tagine for that matter. However I am a big fan of more Dubai and Saudi style kind of food. Rice dishes with meat. Is that available there or no?
