The OP is an idiot and has now just turned into a troll. I also totally understand why Gabby cancelled on him and think her reasoning was perfectly valid.

However I'm surprised that no one gives a rat's arse that the OP needed to prompt her in order for him to be told that the meeting was off. She might have eventually told him but it seems that she didn't tell him as soon as she realised who he was - and that's the time she should have cancelled him, not waiting until he asked her. In my view that's poor form, albeit fairly minor.

At least she did actually tell you when you checked: in my view she would have been quite justified in ignoring you completely.

I totally disagree. It would have been very unprofessional and rude for her to just ignore him instead of cancelling. Just because he was rude/disrespectful to her does not all mean she should respond in kind. Two wrongs don't make a right. As such, I think she should have cancelled him as soon as she decided not to see him.

Obviously though, it's a rather minor negative point but I think it was still worth making by the OP and if he'd accepted responsibility and understood why the booking was cancelled (because that was his own fault) then people probably wouldn't think he's so much of a twat.

The truth is that I thought a lot about that comment, I thought maybe I was the one who was reading it in an erroneous way and maybe I took the things out of context. and when I woke up in the morning I received your message. (I sleep a lot) I answered when I woke up. If I had not received your message I would have written something like: "Can you talk?" and then when his answer was affirmative, he would have explained that I did not want to see him.

What you need to bear in mind is that tone does not convey at all on the interent, so what you may have written as a joke could be taken in a number of different ways. When I read your post I didn't see it as tongue in cheek, maybe add a smiley next time if it's a joke. Do you know many Spanish people? I have Spanish friends who have lived in the UK for over 5 years yet still struggle with certain words and phrases as there is no direct Spanish translation. That’s why I allow for the language barrier, I experience it pretty much everyday.

Yes some will mind and others won't but I think it's the responsibility of the punter to tell the WG if they do mind. I suppose on the flip side that probably means those who don't mind should also tell the WG but I don't always do that but would definitely be annoyed if a WG didn't warn me as soon as possible, so perhaps I should always make it clear they should feel free to text me at any time.

Putting aside the reason for the cancellation, if the negative review was for being texted then I think the review would make the OP look way more stupid and be almost totally pointless. If it was about a call then I'd say the review would probably be about as damaging as this one but not much more. That's just my take though and perhaps I need to get my head round the fact that most punters do in fact use their personal phone.
