OP, really glad you're ok.   In a few days/weeks when you've processed the experience for yourself, you may come up with a few thoughts, pointers, small warning signs that you could only recognize in hindsight.  It would be really valuable if you could offer them to us if you feel its appropriate.

This shit has being happening for years —same scenario
There was some story some years ago of a South East London gang using a mixed escort to rob white guys in their homes
They were finally caught them cos the posted videos of themselves dancing with their loot to a grim music on YouTube plus the dumb bitch was in the video dancing too 

Nope you got the story completely wrong, a mixed race woman met a high stakes turkish professional gambler and he fell in love with her and he gave her money and took her to nice places, then she told her boyfriend and him and his friend robbed and killed the man for his money, she left front door open for them to get into the building as it had intercom.

I met one of the guys inside when i was on remand, and i can honestly say that he had no remorse for what he done pure evil.

For the real inspector hounds on here, can you tell us how close you got to this flat before you we're jumped?  E.g. could you see it boarded up or if there were any lights on?
 Anything suspicious you didn't pick up as a warning at the time that you can pass on?
Do you feel they were waiting for your booking time or just for the next punter?

It was on a council housing estate, so it was a dodgy looking area? Were there any other warning signs that you can divulge at this time? If you can tell us if you were trapped in the room, ambushed outside, or if you some them approaching from a distance?

the only thing that would make it that they were waiting for just any random punter would be that they have the same location and scam for DIFFERENT working girls with different numbers...but i am going to say that they are not so stupid enough to double or tripple book and armed robbery

so chances are that they were waiting for his booking once he arrived.
Common sense would say that they would have to be organised better than most working girls in brothels......which is quite ironic...cause

2. gave address
3. most likely once he arrived they switched off the phone to finish of the robbing equivalent of a working girls punt to avoid a string of people lining up and waiting (double booking)

Pleased i wasn't there when it was petrol bombed & staff / punters had to be rescued from the roof by the fire brigade on an engine with a big extendable ladder
