Merry tours around the South East and I'd tried to book a few times before but never managed to agree an appointment. Saw she was in Epsom on the same day as a client meeting so I thought kerching.

All SMS. She's generally responsive and the booking was made easily.

Location
Block of flats off a main street, less than 10 mins walk from the train station.

The girl
Didn't meet her.

The service
Didn't happen. Sequence of events below:

- Arranged in the morning for an hour appt the same afternoon. Address supplied.
- She sent a text 30 mins before the meet that she'd be 20 mins late because she was stuck in traffic (i.e. she was around 50 minutes away). Unfortunately I didn't see it until 10 mins before the time (I was stuck in a meeting).
- I agreed, but said I likely could only stay 45 mins and that I would have to leave if it were any later.
- 10 mins before the revised time, she says "OK".
- I ask her if she's there since I'm waiting close by.
- 6 mins before the revised time, she says "8 mins".
- I request that she sends me the flat number at the revised time.
- I hear nothing so 2 mins past, I tell her I'm leaving and walk off.
- She just replies "Oh sorry". To be fair, she follows up shortly afterwards with a more apologetic message blaming parking, traffic etc.. but no attempt made to salvage the meet or any future one, e.g. she could have offered a half hour at a much reduced rate.
- I conclude she's actually not that close at all but, since I knew I'd be in the area again later in the week, I ask if she'd offer a discount if I rebook.
- She offers a tenner off. I didn't take her up on it

Would have been £130/hr. She had confirmed CIM was included and was happy with a dress request.

It feels like a harsh negative but, whilst she had a plausible reason (I've been delayed to punts before because of transport/traffic issues), it's equally plausible that she's squeezed another booking in front of me. I've been suckered by the "just 5 more minutes please, babee" line in the past so my bullshit tolerance is very low. I might have been more forgiving if she'd made more of an effort to save the situation.

possibly a little  harsh to give a negative but don't think it deserves a lot better; like a bad tackle on the football pitch where a red card is a bit harsh but it probably deserves more than a yellow

I don't think a negative is harsh - it was an incall not an outcall - so she really has no excuse for not being at the venue in good time for a meeting arranged several hours in advance - and certainly no excuse for then still not being ready at a re-arranged time that she proposed. Some seem to think we have unlimited time and opportunities to indulge in this hobby so it doesn't matter if they carelessly waste them for us - or they just don't give a shit about providing a professional level of service. Either way, a negative is deserved.

Yes it was a reluctant red, but had to apply the letter of the law. I looked for a reason not to give it and, whilst her excuse was plausible, she didn't quite do enough to mitigate the circumstances. I might have thought differently if she had called at the first opportunity to apologise, and/or offered a shorter appointment at a reduced rate. I actually had time to still do an hour with a 30 min delay but I didn't want her think I was dangling on the end of her spider web.

My usual approach to make good most situations like this is to propose exactly what I feel is acceptable (I had £100/hr or £30 off in mind), but I wanted to see what she thought. The offer of a tenner off was a bit derisory and reluctant, and showed that she didn't think her offence was that great. Red card was shown.

Worse still, the alternative punt I went for at very short notice was disappointing. Review posted.

the problem with offered discounts is that if someone else contacts her 30 seconds after you've spoken to her and wants the same time as she has just agreed with you, and he will be paying full charge but you won't, then you just get bumped again. I suspect this is what happened to me the other night.

Your idea of only agreeing to wait if she gives the full address may help in this situation.
