Author Topic: Change of Username  (Read 891 times)

Some of you can probably remember me from my avatar, but yesterday I requested the admin to change my username.

The reason being, my AW username was too similar to my UKP name.

This meant that all email correspondence which I have had on the AW system could easily be attributed to my UKP username, which is not a huge problem if it’s a positive review, but not such a good idea if it’s a negative review.

On another note, I had a massage girl call me out because of a review I left about her. I put that much detail in the post that it could have only been me. Actually I was very surprised that a Thai girl who doesn’t even do the job full time would bother to check here, but I was wrong.

Hence the change of username, and I will try to be a bit more vague in reviews going forwards.

I was the same some time ago, but AW allows you to change your username after certain criteria are met, I'm not sure if it's how old the account is or how often you use it, but i was over the line. It's much like SPs changing their AW name, you retain your feedback.

Changing your name on aw doesn't achieve anything as the girls can see your old name as it will be linked.

yes, changing your username here on UKP is the way to go if a prossie has made the link between your AW account and your UKP account and that association is proving a problem for you.

Some punters have the same username on both sites and dont give a fuc if a girl makes the link or not, other punters prefer a level of anonymity so keep the two names different so slightly harder to link, on which side of the line you stand is entirely up to you.   :hi:

Do any of you leave a certain amount of time between a punt & a review to avoid SP's putting 2 & 2 together to identify you from your phone number used to book the appointment & your profile on here or AW?

I know most aren't bothered but sometimes it bothers me that the circle could be closed eventually if somebody wanted to narrow it down.

Or am I just talking bollocks!!

Obviously if you're trying to cover your tracks, something that you'd like them not to know that may be common knowledge in the whoring fraternity a name which has a massive "avoid at all costs" warning with it, but if you're just changing your name so it's not so clearly associated with a poster on here.

I usually leave putting a review on here for a month or two.

I do and sometimes then you get called out on here as facts that are correct, appear BS due to waiting a few days.....

I would never post a review within a day or two, always wait 3 or so days, then carefully write it with that in mind.  Basic things like if I said it was pissing down and she made me wait at the door, yet we just had 3 days of sunshine is one example, now I just say made me wait at the door.

Are you sure about that?
I thought SP can only see an alias, where the SS has more than one profile or logged on using same device/ip address. Didn't think it applied to name changes.

Not 100% but I thought I'd read it on a previous discussion about name changes

that wont be good if they can see old names , and it would beg the question why can't we see their previous names (of course their AW number remains unless they start a totally new profile)

I too changed my name on AW to separate it from my name here and on UKE, as it was easier to do there, and i'll be pissed if it does show the old one.

Maybe a trusted SP can confirm.

If an SP changes her username then we don't see the old profile name unless you manually save her old name under notes in your HL.

I wouldn't be surprised if AW gives SP extra visibility to check previous names.

Because AW supports SP not SS. They pay for showing phone numbers etc

I don't think they can see your old name. OK they may still recognise who you are from phone numbers, emails, feedback they leave

I almost always do that. It depends if I intend to go back, obviously I'm happy to post sooner if I don't and there is no way to track me.

You can change your AW name. I had an ancient AW name that was petty much the same as my email address and decided that was super dumb so changed it to something random and irrelevant.
