My memory probably goes back further than some members, certainly before punitive kerb crawling laws. But the street scene in Manchester was once excellent, and easily doable on foot, either taking the girl back to your car or finding a quiet place to shag her. We’re talking about the area that runs from alongside and behind the railway station. It’s also before the days of Adultwork and although, as in Glasgow and a number of other cities at that time, a lot of the more visible prossies were druggies, there were also just single moms and occasional part-timers if you scouted around quietly long enough.
While it’s pointless and inaccurate to label them all without extensive experience (and often some cunt with social work experience, ie looking after druggies, will pop up to bolster claims that they were
all druggies) much as it is inaccurate to label all AW prossies as crap based on a few experiences with the very obvious Romanians; it is also a rather pointless OP question as it relates to a time ‘long, long ago’.
I used to visit Manchester a few times a year for work and could see the more rubbishy ones from the platform, which at least announced that they were out working. But it gradually stopped. No point I felt wasting time there any more, especially with the onslaught of pernicious legislation.
I suspect the OP is simply reminiscing.
