Was staying at  hotel in Liverpool last night.(I won't mention the name of hotel as I'm filing a conpaint against them)  Booked a WG for 1 hour outcall. The arrangement was for her to come to my room . When she arrives at reception security approach her and ask her what room she's staying in, she gives them the room number (which I gave to her beforehand) and they refuse her entry.
She calls me and let's me know the situation. So I go down to reception and security tell me that because her name isn t on the booking she not allowed in!

I start kicking off stating that she's my girlfriend (I can tell they know that I'm bullshitting) but I decide to stick to my story but they were having none of it!! They said its a fire risk if her name isn't down on the booking, I suggested we add her name to the booking now then, they refused. I wouldn't mind, but The room I booked was a double , and the booking confirmation says "max 2 guests"

They said I should have added her name to the reservation when booking ,but booking .com didn't have this option.

after a few minutes of arguing the toss  I loose the battle and go back to my room, alone.  The WG was very understanding, even she said she's never had that problem before.

If I'd have met her outside the hotel and walked in with her I don't think I'd have had an issue with getting her in. It did look pretty dodgy to be fair but I'm going to challenge them for a refund on the room as that WG could have easily been my girlfriend.

So lesson learnt, I'm always going to meet future escorts outside to avoid any problems.  I've never experienced this before, I'm about to check out the hotel now , so I'm ready for round 2 with the manager !

i bet it was in a very prominent position in Liverpool  they do make a scene  some times and i wouldn't mind if it was a top class hotel just a  big one

Its not that she is a fire risk but the fact they need to know the number of people in the hotel in case of a fire breaking out so they can evacuate safely.

Quite.  and a simple "my girlfriend is joining me later on" when checking in would usually be appreciated by any reception staff

As a habit I book hotel rooms for more guests than required, not particularly for punting as I don’t do incalls but whenever I’m away I like the space or may end up sharing the room - particularly if I’ve booked in advance and others need a bed nearer the date

It also can mean I have plenty of the extras in a room such as pillows, towels, coffee etc

I’ve never neeed to give additional names, and I don’t tend to book breakfast so as long as I’m paying by the room rather than the person then there’s no extra cost

Checkin is just me finishing their form, I have told the receptionist if a mate is arriving late or when I’ve gone out that they can hand out an extra keycard, and no questions have been asked

I always book a room for two people when booking an outcall, occasionally I’ve been asked the name of the second guest but it’s rare. If asked I make a name up and make sure the wg knows what it is.

other option is to tell the receptionist in advance that you're expecting a girl (or series of girls) for a job interview

you don't need to tell her what kind of job

Some hotels don’t allow guests to enter rooms after a certain time.

I didn't suggest she was a fire risk but still don't follow the logic as they would never know how many of the guests were in at any one time unless they meticulously signed in and out every time they came and went, which they don't.

if there was a fire say 30 mins after she had arrived how would they know the whereabouts of the other 400 guests ??

As someone who has previously worked in the Hospitality Sector, I can tell you the fire excuse is complete crap because they have no way of actually knowing which of the booked guests are actually in the building or not and therefore work it out a completely different way.

And as anybody whos ever been evacuated after a fire alarm will tell you the way it works is the designated person arrives at the muster point with a list of rooms that are let and the occupants have checked in to and they go along all the guests outside and ask just two questions one is what room number are you booked into ? and two is everyone who was with you in that room accounted for [ in other words are they all outside with you ? or do you know for a fact they are somewhere other than the hotel ? ]

Usually, that results in 90/10 split and they concentrate on the 10% usually by getting the Fire Brigade to check those room numbers along with the rooms they have as let but don't have anybody on the car park from.

So basically the way the system works is how many or how few people are actually in the room and who they are [ other than the lead booking name ] is totally irrelevant and it's pretty clear to me that this was clearly being used as nothing but an excuse.

Different chains have different methods of deterring working girls but if this was Brittania.s Adelphi it will have been pretty cheap and not sophisticated in any way. The company I worked for used to challenge them and if after 5 mins the girl was still arguing her innocence they would totally change tack and be very apologetic and say ok thats fine but before we let you in we just need to take a quick pic so you don't get challenged again. What happened next depended on the girl's reaction but a hell of a lot would give up at that point and leave rather than have their pic taken some would argue the point but the interesting thing is very rarely did they involve their guest the client. The first he.d know the girl wasn't getting in was when he called her to find out where she was I assumed their thinking was less confrontation that way and if someone had genuinely been mistaken for a hooker it would all sort itself out.

Personally, I would have left and demanded a refund on the night but best of luck in getting it retrospectively knowing the chain involved.

I usually book a room for outcalls online. I always add a made up second name, on arrival at check in, I always state the girlfriend, went shopping and will turn up later. Always do this in keycarded/non keycard hotels and request 2 room keys.

It is unacceptable that the receptionist didn´t even call you and tell you that you have a visitor. Normally you should get a full refund. I don´t think that it is stated that visitors are not allowed in the room.

On a similar theme, i`ve worked in large office buildings and they have a fire marshall for each floor.
When the alarm goes off, everyone buggers off, the fire marshall checks that no one is on that floor then reports to the " controller " - floor 1 clear, floor 2 clear etc

In a hotel, they would need a master key like the cleaners have to check each room or have a system of automatically unlocking all the doors in an emergency.

If it was me, i`d send a registered post letter off to the top dog at the hotel asking why their staff suggested  that your niece, wife , daughter, auntie mother, granny was a prostitute and that you want a double refund for hurt of feelings.

If you were there on business and your employer has a contract with them, tell your procurement gaffer.

Got to know how to complain exponentially - a bit like a bad experience with an AW prossie, a shit review on her profile may cost her a couple of hundred quid  - a shit review on here could cost her thousands .

Quick update .

When I checked out yesterday I asked to speak to the manager but he was unavailable. I spoke to some dumb receptionist instead who was as much use as a second hand tampon! She just said that she can't do anything about it and I must take it up with booking.com if wanted a refund.

I've wrote a letter of complaint to booking.com and I'm waiting for their reply.

Also the hotel in question is NOT the Adelphi , after I get a refund I will then disclose the hotel name. I'm never going to stay at this hotel again, I've used it a number of times for a punt in the past and never once had a problem but they can fuck right off now. I can completely understand it if I'd have booked a single room.

The cheeky twats also charged me for parking when I checked out, they always waiver the parking charge for me but obviously the manager must have slapped the parking charge onto my room after our dispute.

A very shit night!

If you want a refund you should have walked. The fact that you stayed there anyway tells me that you were happy to put up with the situation and you're not going to get your refund. I might be wrong. Surely they're going to ask "Where did your girlfriend sleep last night? Why didn't you want to sleep in the same room as her (even if it did mean having to change hotels), and why did you allow her to walk off on her own?"

It does seem a reasonable point - the hotel chain if they decide to be arsey are quite likely to take that line so have a think about the answer.

I wanted to check out but it was near midnight on a Friday night in Liverpool , I phoned  around other hotels to see if they had availability but all were full.

I told the hotel ' my girlfriend' would go to her friends house for the night.

I might not get a refund but it's worth a shot

I've always assumed that hotels are quite relaxed about guests receiving visitors during day/eve but can start getting stroppy after 9/10pm-ish. This thread's scenario seems to have occurred  going on midnight....... I'd personally be very twitchy about chances of success of getting a lady past reception to my room at that hour.

Offline Tonyg

There does seem to be a much more stringent approach in Liverpool towards ‘guests’ at hotels. Weve had a few challenges going back to city centre hotels with couples over the years..... no ones ever batted an eyelid in Manchester or Chester.

in the end found the ‘were swingers, theyll only be with us for a few hours whilst we fuck’ tended to work.... or just embarras the fuck out of the staff

Update!
Spoke to hotel manager today and he said :

Manager :After reviewing our CCTV and speaking to my security team we believe that you were trying to use our hotel for an act that our hotel does not condone "

Me : (acting soft) come again?

Manager:  We believe that the person was a prostitute"

Me : how dare you ! It was my girlfriend

Manager : I've reviewed the CCTV and the way how she was conducting herself led us to believe she was a prostitute. Security heard her talking to other men outside discussing getting money for sex. So I'm sorry you won't be getting a refund .

I couldn't be arsed arguing anymore so I just left it. At the end of the day, they are right about her being a WG...but how fucking insulting would that be if she was actually my GF?!?;

I've tried to speak to the WG to see if she did indeed talk to other men outside the hotel about the meet or escorting but I'm yet to get a reply.

So there you go. £170 down in total. Never using that hotel again and giving a stern warning to future WGs to keep their gob shut on arrival. Oh and make sure I add on a fake guest to any future hotel reservations!!

Turn the argument on its head
Text all the romanians and other EE girls in the area, and see how many respond with the Marriott as an address.
Then send a letter to Marriott management asking them what they intend to do about the trafficking being carried out on their premises, indentifying the AW and VS profiles, copied to the local police and city council planning/environmental health
