Does the welcome you get and interaction while in the waiting room make a difference?

The basics are fine — all three of the main saunas are professionally managed to the extent of clear pricing and safe surroundings — but does the ongoing attitude make a difference? I think in some cases maybe it does.

NTS is consistently polite and friendly when you go in. There’s not much interaction beyond that but certainly no complaints. (It also has the most discreet entrance.)

BSS it seems to me rotates receptionists quite a bit, varying from very welcoming to less so. The softly spoken guy that until a little while ago had a top knot tie-back in his hair has been the most welcoming and makes you want to go back. Very easy to speak to, gives a chilled out vibe that is just right for punting. The young guy with a loud voice (who seems or acts like a boss man) less so. His voice, loud and hectoring, carries through to the waiting room and can be most off-putting (I’ve even decided against an intended visit after phoning up and hearing his voice on the phone). The occasional women on the desk vary.

LSS — I’m wondering if this place is looking up again. Although receptionists vary, on my last visit the wee brunette was exceptionally accommodating and genuinely seemed to be making me welcome. Not so keen on the big blonde woman but I’ve not encountered her so often. With LSS, unlike the other two, the receptionist is always in the waiting room with punters so it can potentially make more of a difference if they are friendly and relaxing to have around.

I’m sure some punters will say this is over-analysing; but if you’re stuck in the waiting room until a selection of girls appear then it might as well be a pleasant wait.

You hit the nail on the head when you realised you were "overanalysing".

You might go to a good hotel, restaurant, shop or brothel\sauna but if the first point of call is a bad experience then obviouslythat sticks with you. Thankfully in the case of the latter venue if you leave satisfied you'll be thinking of the good fuck you had rather than the receptionist. Unless of course I'm the strange one here.

Your comment might have more weight if you had posted any experience of Edinburgh saunas ...  :hi:

actually to me this is all very important, be it a sauna or an agency person on the phone. month or so ago I had  a short time to kill in Edinburgh, and as I'd not been to Lss in ages went there. I know I know, but fuk it. punt itself was a lower end positive, a rom that I can't remember the name of but friendly and good enough in the room. anyway sat about a bit before and after chatting to the woman behind the desk which I must say made it an enjoyable experience. a month before that I was on a train and called Bss, but the guy on the phone had a shit attitude, so I thought fuk you, and although I'd wanted to see Shia I left it. I always liked talking to Kenny at Nts, again added to the experience. my one visit to scorpio, I left thinking the guy haigs manner was shit as he was more interested in his paper than me. and as a very regular user of NE agencies, again a pleasant manner goes a long way. used Gea once last year, and whoever I spoke to beforehand was good. so yes a shit attitude and they can say good bye to my cash.

I don't expect you to trawl through all my posts but I have punted in the old Glasgow sauna/brothels. Glasgow, Edinburgh or anywhere else it's all the same and I have been there and done it.
