Suggestions for those of us on joint accounts

I have a joint accountswith the better half and no other accounts

Would be interested in how others in a similar situation bank your punting proceeds.  I am fortunate that i genuinely have a fantastic mechanic who services my older car and only takes payment in cash.  He is also exceptionaly cheap so can easily bank a wad during a service or breakdown problem car really running well. Can still work that one but would nlike other ideas to build the punting bank.

Bit harsh but.... I have to agree. I'm not married but never in a million years would I share an account with anyone or have any woman tell me what and where I can spend my money. I get the situation you guys are in, but fuck me.... someone once told me that marriage is being with someone who hates your guts,  but won't let you out of their sight. Yes, you're probably right; it was a bit harsh, but he was a troll and deserved to be ridiculed. Others may be in a more difficult position that they maybe can't extract themselves from easily. Still, if you get yourself into a state where someone else has control over every penny you earn, it's probably not going to end well.
