Question on Jays Virtual Pub Quiz last night. 8:15 pm. You Tube. (round 2, question 4).

Who had a hit with the song "Happy Ending" ?

Answer was Mika. 2007 song.

I did not know the answer, "but" my mind wandered to the other type of happy ending  :)

The pole is called a quant, I think. So as I said, the answer is not "punt".

You take the OH shopping 50 miles away, then cause a row just so you can pop down the local viva street!

Offline webpunter

Brilliant
After a row they say that they need some space & are going to stay at a mates for a night
 :yahoo:
You then ask meekly, 'is there anything for T in the freezer ?'
They think oh bless him
They FRO & its onto lining one up
[well not instantly, just in case they aren't actually going to their mate's [which ideally isn't just round the corner  :scare:]]
Then T is a celebratory kebab after the session
They come back & feeling guilty they 'put out', which you would rate on here as a 'neutral', as they are trying [a bit]

Today in the Guardian is Quick Crossword 15,932.
External Link/Members Only

Clue 1 down is Skin treatment (4,4) which means two 4 letter words. In order to do the crossword properly the Missus does it in the paper and I print out a copy from the online link so we can both tackle it fairly and then share and discuss some tricky answers ... such as this one. It keeps my brain young! I had to pretend I could not guess this one as I don't know what the words signify for her .....

bare back

I have no idea why this is named as a skin treatment?

When the OH announces that she is going away for a few day's next month, now hoping to get a punt or two in after Covid jab 2... ;)

Offline webpunter

For when i was living with the ex, when hearing this you have to avoid showing excitement at the propsect
Think Basil in Flowery Twats when Sybil announces she is going to be away
Desperate for the details / dates equally you have to avoid being inquisitive
You are hoping that the days away goes well so that she wants to extend / repeat
Or go on a foreign holiday & a cruise would be even better  :yahoo:

& good luck Sir
I suggest no fap in the week leading up to the 'departure'
So that you can make the most of the 'window of opportunity' having had two small pricks  :)

Thank you for the advice, have not asked her for at least a couple of hours to confirm the dates... :P

Offline webpunter

Quality reply

One of her questions will be like 'what are you going to do when i'm away ?"
Jobs around the house is a good reply
Just make sure they are easy, not too time consuming
And get prepped so you can complete in no time at all leaving your days pretty clear

Thank you for the advice, have not asked her for at least a couple of hours to confirm the dates... :P
