Author Topic: Day Use Hotels - Advice Please  (Read 1194 times)

Gents,
I need some advice if anyone is able to help.
For reasons I will not bore you with I am now unable to travel around East Anglia enjoying it's dubious delights and pleasures and
am enduring the wasteland that is South East Essex.

I thought it might be a good idea to book a room for the day or a few hours in my local area (S.E. Essex - Chelmsford, Sarfend, Bas Vegas, Brentwood area)
to arrange some selected outcalls.
I have looked at Dayuse, 9 to 5 and some other sites and at first glance it seems quite promising, a few Holiday Inns appear at reasonable rates in the area. :unknown:
However, when I try and book them (weekdays, a few weeks in advance), I keep getting a very helpful 'sorry, no rooms for that date' message.
Does anyone know if Hotels only allocate a few rooms each day and how quickly they get booked or if it is just a tease to get you to book the night.
Has anyone booked rooms in this area successfully ?
Any info would be helpful as I am failing miserably here.
So much so I am thinking of treating the OH to a spa break and having outcalls to home !  :sarcastic:
TIA, FB  :hi:

Wish I could help  :sarcastic: :sarcastic: :sarcastic:
My only advice would be, do not have incalls but I think you know that.

Good advice from SN.

I've used Dayuse and they are good. Try being flexible with dates and hours you need.

You wait all this time for a bus to come along and the first one says Students Notebook....don't want
to go there....!  :sarcastic:
Shame you (S.N.) can't lend me your keys when you go away ! :sarcastic:
As any fule know outcalls to home not the best of things to do. :scare: I was jesting.

rganz, I tried being  a bit flexible but that did not produce the answer I wanted.
A couple of lines on your experiences - the area and how long in advance you booked would be useful.
Cheers, FB  :hi:

I've used early booking at travelodge before, eg Basildon for Monday 16th April is 56 quid plus 10 for entry from noon. Brentwood is 40 on same date again plus 10. But sadly all adds cost to outcall booking. I have allotment shed in Colchester you can have for a fiver :-)

Beware using premier inn and paying cash. You now need photo id when doing so, so no anonymity

Thanks, Saufender.......extras, who'd have thought ?
Mind you I would not be paying the tenner, I would have gained entry before 1200 !  :sarcastic:
The day use sites remind me of some WG's, lots of talk but when you come to book, nothing available.
Looking a bit further datewise and on a 'proper' 'puter it looks as if you really have to play with the dates in advance.
That means putting in dates until you strike lucky.
Can't see a 'what's available' button which would be extremely useful but that's cheap web design for you.

Lastly, I might take you up on the allotment shed, fancy some compost play and nettle stinging.......
Wished I lived in Colchester again - had great punts there even with the two 'missing' Romulan sisters.

Interesting idea re nettles.. May take to  Hockley Mistress next time I see her :-)

Not familiar with the sisters you mention....  I prefer the older lady and there's not many in Colchester. Whereas Southend has / had some great women.. An older lady who lived near airport who must have been late 60s. Blonde African is currently on my wish list, I tried last week but couldn't get an answer.

Thanks all for the replies,
Saufender, best of luck with the nettles, don't forget the dock leaves to rub on afterwards... :sarcastic:
The two Romanian sisters worked near East Hill until early this year, both seem to have disappeared which is a shame as they were crackers.
I quite like a mature lady but some round here are either difficult to get hold of (part time) or I just can't get the stars to align.
Any suggestions welcome..
Cheers all, FB  :hi:

This is going to sound well weird, I keep looking at profile for Jessica1974 but she looks too posh and attractive for me, ie I am not good enough. Understandable if I saw her in pub and scared to chat her up but strange given I would be paying her lol.

I've not booked hotel for a day use before.

Is it really that much cheaper compared to a full night booking even when booked in advance?
Surely booking for the night gives flexibility in the date and you can check out early.

Good point. A normal booking with early/late  check-in/out could be just as cost effective.

For Holiday Inn day use is quoted about £50 and overnight is in the area of £80 but no reference to booking days on Holiday Inn website. Fiddling with check in/ out may help but  I naively thought this is the 21st Century, internet enabled, must be loads of opportunities.
Might have to give Holiday Inn a call to see if they book days directly as my window of opportunity is late morning\early afternoon.

BTW Saufender, go and see Jessica, Neal69 did a review of her a couple of years ago which reflected my experience with her.
