The Brunswick in Laygate, yes. Didn’t know about the Ferry, though.

Also the Caprice in Whitley Bay. Happy days.

can remember my mates had a whip round and I got cuffed to a chair ,, I was green back then back stage I was told I was being cleaned up ,,,, had one hell of a nosh of a realy big titted blonde girl amazing tits.
As I can recall one hell of a mover as well.

I spent the odd night in the Ferry now and again. It had a bit of a reputation as a knocking shop, but I don't know why; maybe I wasn't knocking loud enough. I live quite close to the Brunswick, but it closed long ago and is now almost derelict. At one time it used to have strippers (or 'exotic dancers' as they were fragrantly described in the adverts). I actually went to see them one night, but I wasn't that impressed' one of the girls would have got a bigger cheer if she'd walked on naked and dressed to music. Still: happy days.

Back in the day , Just about every pub in the area had exotic dancers on at some day during the week
I remember being in one pub in South Shields and two pissed girls wandered in and watched the final strip of the night.
One of them hopped on stage and proceeded to do an impromptu amateur strip while the other tried to drag her off. She got more cheers than the pros that night but only managed to get down to her knickers till her mate got a good grip and stopped the fun...great laugh.

There used to be a lot of strippers around the area but really died out these days. Any views why? Had some cracking nights out with some great tales and aye the pint pot going around, but normally the door getting locked before it did!!! Lots of lock in's as well
