Probably Roms, or EE derivatives.
A major police operation like this they've bound to have been observing who's coming in and out and during the raids they must have confiscated the pimps phones for evidence....as it's often said on this site park your car in another street when punting and always use a pay as you go punting phone...stay safe out there lads
They did similar raids around Newcastle and Gateshead a while ago, they arrested the pimps then most of the Rom prossies went home, there was never any mention of any punters being involved. Safest thing is avoid Romanians and stick to ones well reviewed on here.
These raids nothing to do with escorts or pimps its the paki grooming gangs shagging 14yo girls

If you're talking about the raids I mentioned in my post, they were most definitely Romanian pimps trafficking women for sex work. The grooming gangs were a totally separate issue and didn't involve publicly knocking doors in and leading men away in handcuffs. The raids I mentioned - External Link/Members Only
These girls were 100% NOT trafficked or under duress of any kind.
Police swooped on a Tyneside human trafficking ring thought to have links to a multi-million pound European organised crime gang.Homes in Newcastle and Gateshead were targeted in dawn raids which resulted in six arrests and eight women being offered support. It is understood the gang lured girls to the UK from Romania with the promise of paid work - before trapping them into a life of prostitution.
Official police statement indicates they think otherwiseExternal Link/Members Only"The investigation is based on intelligence that an unknown number of young women have been trafficked within Cleveland for the purposes of sex over a number of months. The intelligence is that victims were raped by multiple men after being driven to residential addresses. The operation also focuses on intelligence that an unknown number of young women from the Cleveland area have been driven to other parts of the country and have been the victims of sexual exploitation involving rape by multiple men."and from External Link/Members Only"The searches were carried out after a woman told police she had been subjected to sexual offences including rape. "Recent trends elsewhere have suggested traffickers are moving more to outcalls rather than incalls as the girls are easier to hide, and without an incall location its harder to get evidence
You have two different stories mixed up, scutty - Masterchief was referring to the Tyneside raids, whereas your reference relates to the Cleveland raids.
I see that now - Daviemac appears to have linked the wrong raid in his post, causing later confusion. I was referring to the recent Cleveland raids. I can't find a police statement re the 6-month old Tyneside raids but......my understanding is that's a trafficking Romanian case as well. The Asian grooming case was something else again
We all seem to be getting confused here daveiemac is right the raids in boro were the Romanians who have probly gone back there before any court proceedings....my regular works just a few streets away
I know a couple of the girls involved in the raids 6 months ago, and were definitely not trafficked or coerced. I speak with one of them on an almost daily basis and have spent a month at the end of the summer and a week Over Xmas with her! They were exploited but not trafficked. They came to Gateshead of their own free will and willingly stayed here.
this is where the definition of "trafficked" goes against what you might expect......driving them to outcalls counts as "trafficking"
