If you get the 46 bus or Aerobus from El Prat keep an eye open for the big Apricots billboard ad. The 46 is the cheaper option but you do need to get a T10 metro ticket from the railway station which costs €10 and gives you 10 journeys whereas the Aerobus costs €8 but is quicker. I've just booked the flights again for next September.

Barcelona is great for punting.  I love going there.  Some taxi drivers will take you to the places you want to visit but they will get commission for dropping you off.  Most of these are good.  There's a real mix of women too fro eastern europe and north africa, but the hot hot hot spanish ladies will be more expensive and in demand.
