For reasons that have nothing to do with punting I needed to walk through parts of Newport this morning, up Commercial Road, along George Street, past the Royal Gwent down to Tredegar House.

I counted nine flats where I have punted in the past, nine in one short walk!

Some good memories though.

You are quite correct but it what got me was that it wasn't a planned investigation, just memory after memory popping up!

I did Street View on Claude Road a couple of years back and one of the picture of the old shop showed a Chinese lady standing on the doorstep, face blurred, but easily recogniseable as Chinese.

Yes sadly Newport has really took a hit over these last 5 to 10 years. Kittens Kelly's Kandi Girls Twice as Nice and the poorly run and down right despicable Studio 1. The variety was always there in these house brothels too ranging from Black, Thai Chinese Polish, and always a Ton of girls from Bristol.
A lot of this action moved to Merthyr but that was only temporary but the Bay area is probably now the epicentre of punting around Cardiff & Newport.
The word Corelle sticks in the mind  , what was the name of the place at the top of town by the market, SJ was there one night, that place had the most undiscreet entrance I've ever visited.

The place by the market was "sugars " I used to think sugar was just the receptionist until I cheekily replied to her question of " who would you like? "  you said I  then she was my regular  from that day on

Yes it was Sugar's.  Started going there just before it closed down.  Saw Sugar a few times, great shag and fantastic tits.  She retired and I think the ebony girl Jade - who I never saw - took over running it for a short while.

Only other girl I can remember seeing there other than Sugar was an English girl called Demi who was also very nice.  I usually went to Clifton Road, the old Clytha Square flat or Albert Avenue when it was open.  Went to Kandi girls a few times before it closed too.  Sadly the parlours went a bit shit after that, and then I started punting with Indie girls.

Clytha Square and Albert Avenue was where Corel, as mentioned by HJ, used to work before she moved to Angels in Cardiff.

Yes, I think I just went there once.  Garage Girls I have only been once also.

Drove past there and it seems dead, they only ever advertised at the back of the South Wales Argus and then the Diamond free adds, obviously backpages superseded these along with Vivastreet and Adultwork etc
