What a pain in the arse that has turned out to be.
First I find I'm bombarded with questions. Okay... I had to set up a second AW profile for a while. Not used in ages but she obviously found the details and asked me why I had two profiles. It''s really none of her business, I can understand she wants to be sure of her safety before a meet. There's a fine line between caution and paranoia though and she jumped straight over it. After that I was asked to ID myself. She wanted links to an 'online presence'. At first I thought it was a joke. Then I realised that she was serious. She actually wanted me to send her a link to a Facebook, Twitter or work address! Who I their right mind would send a WG links to their work and family contact details? Why not just ask for a preferred blackmail list?
So I told her 'no' and walked away.
She then came back saying she'd now read my feedback and changed her mind and would see me. So, I swapped a few meeting about and booked to see her. I'd emailed on a few occasions asking which area of Leeds she was in as I needed to book a hotel for work so could book something local. Nothing back on location. So work booked my hotel just south of the city centre and an AW booking gets sent through. Next thing I get is an email from Holly saying the hotel is too far for her to travel to. Maybe next time. WTF?!
There comes a time when you just have to say - fuck-it and move on.
This is just too much like hard work. I've had compliance audit meetings that didn't need this much preparation work.
She comes.across as being a perfectly nice person in her emails. But she's just too much hard work.
