Almost none of us has any knowledge of local language (russian) neither has any local "friends", so this kind of advice isn't much of a help.

I keep on bumping into this kind of advice every time I visit any kind of a forum that has a discussion going on about Russia/Ukraine/Belarus. One should know that it takes years of active studying to get to know even the basics of russian language let alone sharpen your skills to that level you're able to hold the discussion with locals.

It would be much more helpful if you would send direct links with phone numbers here, if you've already made your research. If you really want to help out your fellow punters.

Kiev is full of agencies, so always use google to search for their number.

I never book anyone unless they are on whatsapp, Viber or Telegram. This way you can ask for a photo from them before booking.

You should make clear when booking that you’ll send them back in the taxi if they aren’t the same as the photos. The alternative is to ask for a photo via Viber of them.

The website photos are usually professional shots. A selfie won’t be. You should easily be able to tell the difference. A video call also works. Plus the fact you’re telling them they’ll be sent away if they aren’t the same person means they aren’t likely to want to waste their own time.

Also it is better to check them out first in a neutral place outside your hotel or apartment block. The only real stinker I encountered was when I failed to do this and allowed a girl to come straight up to my place. She turned out to a munter with a bad attitude but I went through with the punt rather than have her kick up a fuss on my doorstep. Wasn't even worth the $50 it cost me although she did have a cracking set of tits.

Everyone I booked made me meet them outside the hotel/apartment anyway to pay for their taxi or escort them into the building to register them at reception but I think on future visits I’ll insist on this. Hoping to revisit next month.

planning a trip to Kiev in July. Have got myself a subscription at SA and collecting some numbers before I land in kiev. Bit disappointed that backpage is shutdown. I am planning to hire a local guide for my trip since I don't speak russian or Ukranian. This guide is willing to help me find some girls at local hangouts and coffee shops. I am going to book an apartment near city center. Looking forward to the trip after reading Vivago's take on the city.

I ended up not seeing the SP; an enquiry about extras (FK, OWO, CIM) led to the price request doubling, from 1200/hour to 2400/hour, including my covering a taxi - which wasn't requested previously. Still only about £60, but I disliked the principles, and had the sense the girl wasn't for me.

Covering the taxi is standard practice. Everyone I phoned to book I was expected to pay the taxi for, although most mentioned it when booking. It was no more than about £6-7 each time.

I went to Club Rio a couple of years ago. Most of the girls there were pretty hot - loads of Turkish punters. Easy enough to pay for a night (think it was £200 for the night) with one of your choosing. Remember struggling with the cash machine in there!

Been trying to source from SA before landing in Kiev next week. Most girls are interested in monthly maintenance. However did find few who are interested in short term (few hours) but they are quoting upwards of 100€/hour.Not sure if this is the standard in Kiev these days. I am interested in sub 50€/hour girls- this will give me more variety. What would be best source finding cheap punts in Kiev ? I will do a review next week of my adventure.
