What you don't seem to understand, maybe I didn't word it correctly, statutes and acts only carry the weight of the law if you consent to be bound by them...

fuck off with your fuckwittery

Offline King Kenny

If you've broken the law you can be arrested if you've done nothing wrong then don't even give them the time of day you don't even need to acknowledge them

You can be arrested even if you've done nothing illegal. All they need is to suspect you of having done something illegal, and that it's an arrest able offence.

Yes but what I mean is they have to show cause or some kind of evidence first they can't just arrest you without cause, I asked last time on a stop and search, which part of GOWISELY were they following, on what grounds were they searching me and they could not provide any so I walked, it helps to know what the police legally have to do before they can search, also helps when they are being filmed on a mobile phone this seems to change their attitude somewhat

To put this in punting terms, if you're in a brothel and it gets raided and they suspect the girls were trafficked or coerced they will arrest you on suspicion of the relative offence, if it turns out they can't prove they were trafficked etc you will be released from police bail with NFA registered on your CRB.

On the other hand if they don't suspect any trafficking you will be allowed on your way with no action against you.

They're more interested in headlines and being able to confiscate earnings, a large proportion of which they keep.

Recently ... their arrested a prossie's elderly cleaning lady in Bournemouth

Hard to believe this story- what a waste of police resources and court time... if it got that far. No common sense at all. So she gets arrested for doing the right thing. :dash: :dash: :dash: :dash: :dash: :dash: :dash: :dash:

I'm guessing (but could be wrong?) but these raids may be connected to the Modern Slavery Act.

It's something Theresa May championed when she was Home Secretary and now she's PM, I guess she's trying to follow it through.

I'd expect more of these type of raids in the future as  modem slavery/people trafficking seems to be a big priority for Plod at present.

Doesn't affect me as I only punt with independents and avoid EE girls and in particular Romanians.

Poole Council put prostitution under the banner of Anti-Social Behaviour:-

In addition to legal action being taken against the offender, if a girl is a council tenant she could be evicted; private tenants are reported to their landlord.

It means that under the English law, you can only be prosecuted lawfully for causing harm or loss to another person or for breach of the peace, anything else ie any legal act is null and void and unless you give consent.. ie when plod says you are under arrest for something not within the above, they'll always ask if you understand and if you say YES you have consented to be bound via verbal contract to said bullshit statute or act and therefore render yourself liable to prosecution... I know not everyone can get their head round it but most police don't even know the law it seems and carry out illegal stop and searches/arrests everyday...

Sounds like FMOTL bollocks to me. Be careful what you swallow from the net. A lot of them end up in jail

Farcical to think you'll be honeytrapped by Rozzers on AW.  Could maybe see a mental wife or partner trying such cobblers but even that would be a stretch.

Online myothernameis

Have the police ever been known to honey trap punters?

There are AW service provider adverts which are relatively old show frequent log-ins, but have 0 feedback. Do the old bill ever try to catch punters out by placing fake AW adverts?

If the police were doing this, its more likely if it went to court, its going to classed as entrapment

Why would it go to court? It's not illegal.

It is like asking if undercover police had infiltrated the local greengrocer and had sold you some carrots, would you be prosecuted?

Unless he can provide a reference I'm inclining to think he's talking bollocks. Maybe something badly scanned from contract or employment law that someone who can't read properly has pasted on a blog or something. If he can cite a judgement or even some jurisprudence to back it up we can discuss it once we can see what the fuck he's on about. I don't think he knows.

If you don't understand what you're being charged with they'll get a translator once they've arrested you and if you're too mentally fucking disabled to understand someone will enter an insanity plea for you.

Judging by his post below, he seems to be one of the dipsticks who, instead of helping the police in the difficult job they do, will be as awkward as possible.

He must look or act a bit dodgy if the police keep wanting to search him. It might just be me, but if they did happen to ask to search me, the quicker they do it the quicker I would get an apology and be on my way and the quicker they could move onto someone who may have done something.
If you've nothing to hide why try to hide something.    :unknown:

You're bringing it on yourself mate. It's not so much that you look dodgy enough to be unfairly harassed (or so you claim) but that you come up with some far-fetched legalese, no doubt that you find reassuring, and want to be further reassured by us accepting it wholesale. There are too many people on here bright enough to question someone who makes such wild and supported statements.

So you were walking the streets at 3 am and you were asked, quite legitimately (in the course of crime prevention), what you're doing and you were stopped because you were driving aggressively, that is what you class as harassment.   :unknown:  I call it good policing.

Have you ever thought of turning the camera around and filming yourself and perhaps then you would realise what a prick you were being to draw attention to yourself, that is of course if it's true, you sound like one of those pratts that's all brave on the internet but in real life wouldn't even dare to cross on a pelican crossing if the little man started flashing orange  :music:

Good policing is the resolution of crime and prevention of crime, last I checked it was not illegal to drive within the speed limit or walk in a public place, but maybe they've changed that recently? If I'd have been doing something wrong they'd have arrested me..

Most police now film all encounters with a body cam, I fail to see the difference, apart from they are legally allowed to defend themselves, carry weapons and forcibly detain people, whereas we the public are allowed to do neither, I film for my own protection and to make sure stories can't be skewed...

Reminds me of the black and asian people complaining the stop and searches were about racism. Those found to be breaking the law were still arrested. Even if the plod is searching you just to be a dick, what do you have to fear if you're carrying no drugs or weapons?

If you're caught in a car with a known street prostitute, nothing you can say to the plod and no amount of bollocks about consenting to legal contract will change the fact you're going to get arrested and either cautioned then let on your way or taken to the nick for an interview.

I was stopped while driving my car by a van load of police, a number roughed me up physically for absolutely no reason except they chose to. They refused to give me a stop and search form and drove off. Fortunately a guy I didn't know had witnessed this and gave me his number. It turned out the police had left no record of this stop and when asked about it after I formally complained to the local top cop and then DPS they all said it never occurred.

That all changed when the CCTV proved they were all lying, incredibly these pricks got to keep their jobs in the end, so it depends on the police you have dealings with. I was stopped and searched for no reason and they admitted it was for no reason but because they chose to.

It is legal to solicit online, and meet for paid sex indoors if there is only 1 girl working in the premises. It becomes illegal when it is a brothel (more than 1 girl) or you solicit in public.
So its legal, it's a misconception that all forms of it isn't allowed

In Birmingham the police simply wouldn't dare do that in certain areas like Lozells. In fact you don't see the police there. Its a fact of life be a. Dick to plod
And you will get fucked by plod
Hope you never find out how untrue that is.

I worked on Westminster's Mozart estate with a fellow scouser, a  young happy-go-lucky black guy from Toxteth. He was the estate plumber.
The place was a policing no-go area, even plod openly acknowledged this. But one day a stupid probationer decided to escort an Asian woman mugging victim back to her flat. The local gang kicked 7 bells out of him and then went back and kicked 7 more. It all took place in front of the council offices (50 odd staff) but managers forbade us to intervene apart from ringing 999.

Couple of nights later my friend was on overtime and coming out of the council store with some copper pipe. His boss was waiting at the flat but he never arrived. A police transit picked him up and dumped him in a cell after first smashing his head in, breaking numerous ribs and causing multiple fractures to his hands. The police contacted the District Housing Manager to come and press charges but on seeing the estates plumber insisted the lad be taken to hospital immediately.
A week later his face was still unrecognisable and he was a nervous wreck. He confided that he thought he could never be an effective plumber again. Nor could he continue living in London. I urged him to make a complaint - but he said justice was only for white people. So they made him prejudiced as well.

Get caught with some copper pipe / with some random prostitute - the result will be the same. You will be completely at their mercy and there are plenty of evil bastards amongst them.
