Am a first time punter and am considering Asian for 30 mins just to try it out

I cant say whether they are especially good or not for your 1st time. If asians are your cup of tea, then they should do fine. I would always recomend staying away from Eastern Europeans. They can be a bit moody and surly and it can kill the mood if you are nervous.

The asian places in reading on vivastreet i know are around the station, queens street or oxford road (susies). Generally a call or a text at least an hour beforehand and you can get something booked.

Be prepared for girls to not really loom like the girls in the pics. They are notorious for using stock photos and bussing in new girls each week.

the new to punting article is definitely very helpful. you should read this and set your expectations. That seems to be the cause the guy who had a recent meltdown on here had.   

i wouldn't necessarily recommend British girls either. Normally very expensive and can be hit or miss (and seem to me to be more judgmental, since they are often in it as more of a luxury than a necessity). And to be fair, so of the Asian places have something going for them. I find the girls are normally "in to" white guys, and its normally a very simple affair. everyone knows whats going on and you get what you need. I definitely recommend a British girl if you are looking for something a bit more niche, as it can be hard to explain exactly what you want to someone whose 1st language isnt english.

In my limited experience of Chinese punts in general she is unlikely to look anything like the picture.

Unless your prepared to do a lot of walking or settling for girls who arent who they claim to be then best steer clear of the Chinese and Romas unless well reviewed here. However if your looking for a cheap vfm rub and tug and arent too bothered about looks then a parlour is the best way to go.
