As far as I know, it hasn't been shut. Sometimes if the girls are busy they lock the front door, also during the week in the evenings they've a habit of shutting up shop early and going to the pub. It pisses Bryan off, but he's usually not there, and when he is, he's stoned and unable to argue. He tends to take a back seat since the police raided the place a couple of years ago and "had words". As I understand it the business is in his wife's name, though she's usually running their other parlour in Southport (I've never managed to work out which one). The girls at Charles St are usually left to run the shop, which means Bryan never knows how much they're actually earning. They dislike him because he insists on giving them regular one-to-one "training sessions" (i.e. he fucks the staff for free), but they put up with it because they can run rings round him. Heck of a way to run a business, but then if you search Google deep enough you'll find his main interest is in some kind of commercialised Bhuddist sect (a bit like a micro version of the Bhagwhanees.....)
Real underlying issue here is that Blackpool Police have a long-standing policy that "there is no prostitution problem in Blackpool" and "there are no foreign sex workers in Blackpool". Thats why the shithole brothels around Cookson St (e.g. Natalie's of recent fame) never get raided or closed.
As for the advert, he regularly advertises for staff on Vivastreet and elsewhere (Backpage from memory)
