I have often been tempted by "Tart Cards" in phone boxes around London, and wonder what other's experience has been.

Never been tempted, but go West Young Man as they are still all over the place in London telephone boxes, and probably totally B&S.

Nowhere near the way it was 20 years ago. Not many cards these days and in any one box there are usually only one or two places at the other end of all the numbers. Most are pretty crap too. Only good one Ive been to (tho not for a few months) is the one in whitfield st - usually has at least one hot young thing at about 80 notes for half hour as i recall.

True. Fact is they were made illegal in the UK in 2001.

 -  This is factually incorrect & misleading.

The adverts/cards themselves are not illegal - it is the act of placing the cards in or near phone boxes  ["tom-carding"] which is a criminal offence under the CJPA 2001 - External Link/Members Only

Lol that's probably what he meant. The cards themselves are not normally placed anywhere else

Not tempted by the numbers on the cards but I do like the cards themselves and still have a small collection of some of the more entertaining examples of these (some rather like those in the OP). I seem to remember that a book featuring a number of these appeared quite a few years ago, presenting them as a kind of street art.

Exactly !
This thread started with the discussion of the cards in phone boxes and they are not normally placed anywhere else.

Maybe it is, but the point is important. If the cards themselves were illegal, surely the authorities could easily bring a case against those operating the brothel. As it is, they can't.

Saw a great one a few years back: "half hour of hell - £50"

Posting the cards is not strictly illegal all the local authorities remove them as a public nuisance and other possible Trading Standards Offences and suggest checking the legal definition of a Brothel " a place where two or more prostitutes regularly attend for the purpose of prostitution( having sex with another)"

So maybe a very debatable area

In reality have one of the nicest I have seen framed in my bedroom " Shes is young and she's sweet with skin like a peach and refreshes the parts other girls cannot reach"

Given that virtually no one uses phone boxes if you go in one it may attract some attention. Why bother with them when there's no reviews of the girls and you have no idea what they look like.

Because not everyone is aware of review sites such as these.

It's dirtier too meeting a right ol' slapper via a card in a pigeon shit infested phone box.  Who said romance is dead?

Offline Malvolio

I wouldn't touch a WG who advertised in this way with a bargepole - the chances of the picture on the card being an accurate depiction of the woman you meet strike me as slim.

No, really?

See you some time on Antiques Road show or better still Dickinson real deal.

Might be worth a few ££ in a few years time.
