No, the problem was basically that I had logged into them. Which meant that when I was texting her it went through as an iMessage (I used an old phone and a different sim card) but totally blanked when it came to iMessage. Which if you didn't know, uses the email address instead of the number if the person you text hasn't got your number. Hey presto, my email I have for iMessage is literally my name.
