Punting Phone

This topic has been run a few times but not seen this issue before.

I must have used my 'normal' phone at some point well in the past.

Within messenger app (the Facebook version) on my android phone I got 2 connection notifications.

John ex CT Escorts owner and also one of the CT Ladies pictured from facebook with the message

"John (& the WG) has used this number to contact you - add them to messenger."

Likely only used my private number only once or twice (certainly no more) but then FB links numbers across it's platform.


For those new to this - get a second phone or SIM.

Wait until FB suggests them as contacts

You are 100% right about a punting phone or sim. Madness not to have one.

To solve your problem and prevent wg or the pimp finding you on fb remove your mobile number from your facebook profile

I am not on fb but had an anonymous account and had the same shock when CT and a couple of girls appeared as people only know lol. I had associated the account with my punting phone and used the number to access facebook

Fucking social media is a liability with this game. As Addicted has said never give Facebook your number. Whilst I have a punting phone that is seperate and doesn't have any of this social media crap on it. I can remember many years ago using my real phone twice (bad phone signal on punting one), so imagine my horror a couple of months ago when one of the girls off AW pops up on Snapchat 

These days I would actually have just moved till I got a good signal and if necessary missed the punt. It just isn't worth it. Thankfully I know exactly who it is and it's not a problem as they have retired / moved away. But a kick in the pants reminder !!!

To add to this, the scariest thing I have seen is I seen a bunch of tech news reports this week saying Google were in advance talks with buying Facebook

The word on the information strasse is that Google wants to buy Facebook. It is entirely speculative, but could have legs.

Information leaked to Fudzilla suggests that talks are well advanced between the two companies.

If this went ahead, that could potentially be a minefield of risks.

Phone tech is getting really scary too. I have a new version smart phone and what it does and don't ask me how as I don't have to foggiest is if you are texting a number which is not saved to your contacts, the phone will reveal to you who's number it is. Same with calls.

e.g: recieve a phone call/text from 01234567890 phone will display under the number possibly Jane Doe

It says possibly but in civvie life it has never been wrong. I assume that if you have the number you use linked to anything online aswell as social media that is how it finds the name.

Best advice I got was never use a modern smartphone for punting 

I have a cheapo samsung £15 phone that I can just text and phone with. No touchscreen, its just a basic phone thats all

Also a PAYG sim that I top up when needed.

My latest personal phone has got this app where it screens callers coming in and as has been said tells you who it is, but the really useful bit is it identifies all the shit cold callers you don;t want  Sure it's mining away at your contacts in the background mind

get a seperate punting phone and if needed a seperate punting p.c/laptop.
