I've never punted in Bologna, but I travel to Modena from Bologna airport regularly

So not sure what there is for Brothels or massage parlours but there are loads of independents

There are also plenty of street girls on SS9 between Bologna and Modena

Brothels and/or massage parlours are strictly illegal in Italy. All legit escorts are independent. I can't help you  specifically with Bologna, though. I haven't been there for over 25 years.

That would explain a lot! A while back, at a loose end in Venice, I had a good walk around, without success.
