I too had this situation, never had it when punting, but I can 100% agree with the pain but also mastering the art of putting it back in place to save a trip to A&E.

Not dislocated now in years, but 100% weaker than the other shoulder with less mobility.

As per Murray - take a look at a Bankart Repair (Shoulder Stabilisation).
It's never quite the same, always still worry about external rotation, but you can get back to 95%.

I was injured by a WG about 12 years ago and I will say if you’re squeamish in any way it’s probably not wise to read this next bit.

I see you’re still here, curiosity got the best of you. As I was saying I was injured by a WG. We were fucking in the doggy style position on her sofa. I can’t remember why we weren’t in the bedroom. After it stopped bleeding and we’d cleaned up I went home. Luckily, I was between girlfriends so no awkward conversations. The following day there’d been no more bleeding so I decided to see if I could get an erection, that was a bad move as the pain was far worse. I went to the doctors and was told I’d had a penile fracture and that it would heal on its own.

Not quite, though it was unpleasant what she did during the examination, felt like a feminist manhater had my dick in her hands. I did have an emergency ultrasound exam too as there was a possibility of needing surgery, but luckily it wasn't too badly damaged. Had to wear a urinary catheter for two weeks and take drugs to prevent me from getting an erection for a month while it healed. And there was a lot of hospital visits.

I wouldn't recommend it and the strength of my erections is about 70% what it was, so I take Sildenafil which helps.
