I for one am glad that some order will be resumed here with the decision by Head1. As someone said, there is an ‘ignore’ button which I use, but there’s been some awful bile in here for the last few weeks, and even ignoring someone means their post still shows even if you can’t read it. And if anyone quotes them, then you can read it. So it’s not perfect!
This is primarily a punting forum, and I’m glad that the trolls and wind up merchants will have less inclination to be here, taking over a site which I enjoy visiting. I think things will be calmer and more pleasant here now as we head into summer and the gradual return of punting.
With a bit of luck AnthG will find someone on Seeking Arrangements who will keep him occupied, and all will be right with the world again 
I'd agree with this. I've put many people on ignore, but like you say, it's not perfect.
Having this decision feels like a huge weight off the shoulders as the nastiness reminded me of when I first joined tjhis.site.
The period when OT was deleted and before it returned the site had actually been a pleasant, productive and peaceful place and I hope that it may continue to be so going forward.
