Drove past the Flying Scotsmans Pub Kings Cross to see that it has changed to a normal bar . After 25years as a strippers venue ( £1 in a pint pot ) and SW haunt does anyone know where the girls are now performing ?

:hi: The Horns, down the road at Old Street was doing the pound in a glass plus private dances when I was last there about 8 months ago.

I heard very recently that the white horse in Shoreditch is soon to stop having strippers as well.
Soon there will only be browns and the old axe left of the famous old Shoreditch shuffle which used to feature more strippers than anyone could possibly need. Presumably the sports bar is still going? Shit hole that it was.

Seems as though The Griffin in Farringdon is still going...and seems to have had a facelift...

I remember it well, used to be an unlicensed porn shop nearby where I bought some decent hardcore before the R18 certificate came in. Street WGs across the road used to tout for business as I walked to my car, jeez they were ugly.

Hi FP
 :hi:
Do you happen to know the circumstances that has caused the White Horse Shoreditch to stop trading as a strip venue?
I used to go down there quite a lot in the 80s and 90s and found it to be a relaxed, friendly and entertaining venue  with some good girls on the right night. I also remember with fondness the 12-hour 'stripathon' that used to be hosted there one Saturday every summer.
The 'guvnor' had a bit of a roving eye he used to fancy some of the strippers and his favourites got invited to the garden parties each summer that he used to host at his secluded mansion near Denham.
A bit like celebrity David Frost and the garden parties he held, hence the saying "Frost on the lawn .... it must be summer".

I'm only sharing something I was told by a stripper in a private club last week ... but there's been rumours it would stop having strippers for years as the site was going to be redeveloped. I heard it is going to go the same way as thousands of pubs and petrol stations in recent years ... There's more money to made building flats

Blimey. We might have been in the same establishment and talking to the same stripper! Sadly I heard the same news. If true, will make the most of the best traditional strip pub left before it closes.

Aaaah I see. Ok thanks FP.
Same fate as what befell the Harp near Paddock Wood in Kent then, housing development. Although the prudish residents in that Kent village obviously did not help the pub thrive as clearly they disapproved of nude ladies behind closed doors attracting an undesirable flavour of clientele to rural Oast House country.
The Harp ... not your normal country pub ... but certainly the best one I knew.
