Only a few make real money from OF, most of those who have already built a following, most women on there have to grind to make real money unless they can pull in a simp. I feel other factors like Brexit, the pound, high cost of living etc...has put a lot of WG off operating here even before Brexit and COVID WG girls were going back home or to other European countries to work from.
The only way to keep up is to increase income to match the change in environment to have access to similar quality as before or better quality, or punt out of the UK which leads back to more income.
Yes the best is to stop wasting your money here, stack the bread and go spend it abroad somewhere direct to the source, your money will go further and you'll have better experiences. I'm chatting to a mate of mine to do SA next year because I want those Mr Supremo type Bundas.
If you look on the seekings thread the guys get more value for money (Less than 350 for multiple hours compared to the £180-£250 for 1 hour with SPs these days), when they succeed so works out better than transaction styled punting if you prefer the time investment. It's just a right grind to get the success though, seems to be the general sentiment looking on the specific threads. To answer the question, personally I think no as they have also complained about the decline in quality on SA.
As someone who dabbled in these types of area with paying "civvies" yeah it's a grind, you also have to adjust your punting mindset as you won't necessarily get the type of girl you're looking for but as said it's more VFM, like you can pay a girl and next thing you know she's spent half a day with you having fun also the interaction more natural and relaxed which is far better than paying a pro by the hour then sometimes feeling short-changed once the punt is over.
