Not sure about that, maybe decades ago. This is even term in UK describing MIXED race and includes (as you would expect all mixes - obviously white and other is the blend as your are mixing native White English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish with another race)
Decades ago the term used that i'm aware of was halfcast . . yea of course nowadays you get this mixed with that n what not . . but i was talking in general terms . . im 90% sure the original poster said mixed race meaning a black/white mix . . but hey i could be wrong.
