Offline Fagin Again

If you decide (say) to spend the weekend at a picturesque country hotel, the "experience" starts with the communications.  It's not just about the night in the room.  So if you ring and encounter indifference – or e-mail and get a disorganised or barely civil reply – you take your business elsewhere.

It's surprising how many escorts don't seem to understand that what they're selling isn't purely bedroom time.  They're also selling, to some extent, an overall experience.  Just like a hotelier.

Now I don't want to overegg this.  We know they wouldn't dream of take their kit off if we hadn't put money on the table.  They know we know.  We know they know we know.  (But then we also know that the reason the hotelier offers good service is that he wants our business.)

Others may not agree, but I quite often lose interest and take my business elsewhere if the communication stage is very poor.  One doesn't expect much.

My guess is that any escort who went so far as to slip in the odd – of course entirely fictional – comment such as "Looking forward to meeting you!" into her e-mails would do a lot more business than those whose e-mails are perfunctory.

After all, another thing they're selling is fantasy – and, for a male, to feel that an attractive female genuinely wants to see you is a surprisingly potent fantasy...

Agree with what you're saying. It is not just for weekend bookings, but also for longer than 1hr bookings. Communication very important in ensuring confidence that the services requested will be performed and a great punt is had. Also helps build anticipation. Bad comms breeds a lack of confidence which in turn could mean a bad punt.

An excellent post particularly the bolded bit.

As you say these women would not be doing what they're doing, if there was no payment involved. And that's fine.
But they're providing a service in more ways than one, and it would go a long way if the woman gave some more than the perfunctionary reply.

I worked for an international company and part of the deal, especially with our Nigerian clients and Middle East clients, was to have working women who could be brought anywhere and who would be able to hold a conversation, as well as being able to perform in the bed room.
Our company fixer was superb at selecting the right women to fit the bill. Even if they loathed the John, you'd never tell with any one of these women. They were cute enough to know that a little sugar goes a long way, even if they were getting paid very well for their services.

It's beyond coincidence that these working girls the majority of them were well educated.

In principle I agree with op however in this game the decision is not wether you stay in the Cotswolds but wether you stay at the particular hotel.

If your heart is set on the honeymoon suite at the "Pump and Bugger"dealing with a twat on reception becomes a mere inconvenience.

Offline Fagin Again

But the problem is that, in the case of an escort, the twat on reception is also the twat who'll be in the bedroom!

Spot on - comms are an intrinsic part of things. Only thing to keep in mind is I presume hotels don't get idiots and buffoons ringing up 24/7 who have no intention of actually booking. I dunno what the solution is but ultimately lady needs to treat every enquiry professionally and courteously if she wants business to flourish.

..... and heavy breathing down the line as the girl on reception describes the ensuite bathrooms and complimentary afternoon tea. But yes - I agree 100% with the sentiments of the OP. And, after all, many people who stay in fancy hotels are difficult, demanding and pernickety - yet a good hotelier will deal with these folks with unfailing politeness.

Yes, escorts must get an awful lot of e-mail from time-wasters and fantasists.  One sympathises.

However, unless someone is very obviously a nutter, the sensible approach is to assume every enquiry is genuine and worth polite attention.  It doesn't take long for a girl to reply with a couple of friendly phrases.

Whereas if she makes the wrong call, she may be kissing goodbye to £60, £80 or whatever...

Or my £150 in my case this morning for a repeat visit.

One does not expect grovelling apologies, nor loads of pitiful wailing about how life is so difficult....... You do not have the monopoly of dealing with arseholes

A simple
"sorry for the confusion, when can we re-arrange"         Not that difficult really

Fixed that for you ;)

I think the issue goes even further back than the OP implies. I have (and I can't be alone in this) sometimes not started written or verbal contact with an otherwise-promising woman, because her A/W profile made her sound like an arrogant **** or because it was so illiterate that I suspected the woman concerned had struggled in "special needs". Her profile is an important advertisement for her. If she can't make herself sound enticing, she has only herself to blame if she doesn't get much business.

Yes indeed.  Clumsy and weird profiles are a big turn-off.

However ... it's also fair to point out that the majority of escorts aren't graduates of Russell Group universities.  We hire them for their bedroom skills, not for their prose-writing.  I've sometimes had entirely satisfactory encounters with girls whose profiles have been pretty basic.

In other words, not everyone's capable of composing a good profile.  But everyone is capable of clicking a button marked "Reply" and writing a brief message that's friendly and encouraging.

I agree, without a polite reply I proceed no further.

Probably why punts are so few now.

A lot depends on what you are looking for. To use your analogy, if you're looking for a luxurious night with all the trimmings in a top hotel then the hotel's reputation is on the line, but also those ringing the posh hotel are most likely to be genuine enquiries.

If you want to go to a cheap hotel en route to a particular destination the more important considerations are price and convenience, if you want a bar, restaurant, pool or some other extra then you're increasing your outlay.

If you sent a message to a pro$$ie detailing a luxurious fantasy that you wanted to pay a tidy sum for then you may get a better response than asking for an hour...

The basic starting point should be a friendly, courteous and encouraging response – and that's even if you're writing to a hooker who charges £50 for half-an-hour.  (Not many of those about these days, but there's one or two round here.)

This takes at most a minute of the girl's time.   It's the minimum requirement.  A two-star reply, shall we say.  Any escort who can't manage that should retire from the game and go and work in the warehouse at Argos – where she'll find that pay of £100 an hour is rarely available...

But yes, if you're booking a hooker for an overnighter at a luxury hotel – and you need to discuss complicated and possibly anatomically awkward perversions in advance – then it's fair to expect a five star reply!

I agree customer service is so important .  Came across a nice bit of aftersales the other day . Five minutes after leaving , The very pleasant mature wg sent me a text to say thank you . Most unexpected , but clever, and it did put a smile on my face . Joe

Quite so!

Manipulating men's emotions is one of the things women are best at, so you'd have thought that "professionals" would have realised how they can turn that to their financial advantage.

So why don't they?

I'm afraid the answer may be this.

The vast majority of hookers don't enjoy what they do, and that's so deeply embedded in their psychology that they simply can't bring themselves to fake cheerful, friendly or appreciative comments.

Psychobabble?  I fear that it may not be...

Yeah you cannot beat great communication:

I emailed a girl on my hotlist who I have not seen before a polite opening email, she was showing as available today and had no phone number available. 12 hours later I get a response saying ''I'm not available at such short notice''. Which is baffling as she has paid to show as available today and had her hours with the days date on her profile.

One hour after the above I emailed a girl I have seen several times before. I received a ''Hello, how are you/how's things'' email with ''I'm free at that time''.

One girl has low numbers feedback the other 3 figures even though they've been active the same time.

Customer service is king!

Very true. Wish all WGs were like that. Sadly they're not.

I've had that as well, twice, nice touch and both WGs were intelligent matures. They know their game well  :hi:

Maybe so, but those that do take a bit more time are worth going back to, providing the sex is good. I've only had 3 that I remember in many years of punting who have followed up after a meet with a thank you, or a "had a good time". It made me feel good, not manipulated. But there you go.
