Do you have
any idea of the social work involved where a child with Down’s syndrome is concerned? Or even any idea what is involved in raising one? Let me put it by way of another example.
Most of you will be treated by GPs at some point in your lives. Most, if not all of you, will undergo a surgical operation at some point in your lives. Would you like to know the sort of things that GPs call you (in coded language) on your notes when they think you are being a fucking twat? Would you like to know some of the jokes that surgeons make about patients that might be dying?

disgusting and decide never to let a disgusting creature known as a 'doctor' come near you again. Yet it is doctors that can save your life. Do you want to know why doctors say such terrible things about patients? Is it that they disrespect them? Hate them? Secretly want to make their lives hell?? God forgive you if you think that. With the pressure that doctors and surgeons are under, it is a coping mechanism, and rightly or wrongly sometimes a way of communicating profiles. It is particularly a way of coping with twats that to an extent abuse the service, even well-meaningly.
Fluffies and white knight continually abuse the service of UKP: a first class service that is provided for free. In the days when there was group moderation mods would have little choice but talk about some punters 'behind their backs': that was not ideal. The aim is not to vilify punters, even ones that really can't see straight, but to get them to wake up: in other words help them. The thanks is putting up with your abuse but it is part of the price, like a patient who screams blue murder at the doctor over an ingrowing nail.
Defending prossies, defending their families, being social workers, is
not the business of this site. If this were a philosophy forum or a social work forum or whatever we might discuss it very differently. It's not. It's a punters' forum. You pay women for sex. You sometimes pay women for sex when you disapprove of them. You do your best in whatever circumstances you find yourself in. If you want to help or pull up a prossie that you think needs it, try SAAFE. If you want a nice discussion with prossies like they're your buddies, try UK-Escorting. We're not here to defend prossies' feelings: they are responsible for their own actions. On the rare cases where there is real evidence that a punter has been a real cunt -- and there are indeed, horrifically, real cunts that steal from prossies, beat them up or rape them -- there are places to report that as well (eg Crimestoppers) but I happen to know that UKP takes it seriously even if it is not possible to take action.
You should not, in my opinion, call (for instance to their face or to their parent) a child a 'fucking mongol' even if he or she was born in bloody Mongolia. But
we are not talking to children on here. We are not talking to prossies: even if they happen to have a child with down's syndrome. If punters are so easily offended, this is not really the place for them. This is what I mean when I say, get real.
If fluffiness, whether aimed at prossies or their children, takes hold on here we are fucked. If you want to call social services or Crimestoppers, get on with it (though it hardly sounds appropriate in this case). If you think a punter has been completely out of order on a punt or broken the rules, say so. If you think someone is making a false review, say so. Everyone is equal on here, it's a level playing field. But try to think of the effect, of what will really help, instead of getting so carried away with hand-wringing.
