im sure if you had the time NIK and some of the mods could make an alternative to adultwork ,and some like anth know about technology and can help you to  build a better version of adultwork without the shit

You seem to overlook the fact that UKPunting is not a profit making business, Adultwork on the other hand must be making an absolute fortune, my guess is that the owner works on it full time.

Hence the problem, $$$$$.
All the websites in this community have their priorities/agendas
SaaFe = Pro$$ies only (and only a 'select' elite) so only their views/side of things
T'uther one = SaaFe in the making + supporters and maybe the odd 1 or 2 normals who have slipped under the radar but again 1 sided
Adultwork = £££'s and that's 1st priority now I suspect, I'm sure the scams could be dealt with better and the ways round some of the 'issues' dealt with but whilst it is still profitable to keep thigs as they are, nothing will change
UKP = Primarily for the Benefit of Punters  :yahoo: however unlike other sites, there is the right of reply so if someone feels a comment is harsh, stupid or unfair, there exists the 'opportunity' for them to come on and give an alternative opinion on the matter for us to consider and respond to if we wish or ignore if that is what we choose to do.

Long may it continue and long may there be the mix of people who argue disagree and fall out over issues because it makes life that little bit better don't you think?

A big thumbs up for NIK  Whether you agree with his views or not, he did give us this site to express them on.

In the northwest all i seem to find is a long list of new profiles for ee girls (who i personally have little interest in seeing - if i wanted sex with someone with a sour face and no conversation i'd shag the missus!!!)  - seem to be at least 5/6 profiles per girl all with different pics and most of the services listed aren't on offer.

There are now that many that its hard to sift them out to see the "proper " profiles im interested in and thats before you even get the pg scams etc .

However until aw has a serious competitor i can see few alternatives - most local papers round here dont carry escort ads since Harman had a chat !

Based on what I know of similar sites, I wouldn't be surprised if AW has 20 or more staff.  Annual revenue will be 7-8 figures, although software and hosting costs will be high as well.  Running a porn site is very expensive due to the size of the videos / images etc.

It's a hell of a money making operation.   If I was able to move abroad and get seed capital (probably several million needed to compete), I'd set up a competitor.  They only get away with what they do because they're based offshore.

They're actually owned by a finance house base in Hong King, and run by a company in Malta.

I knew they had some connection with Malta, as do many gambling sites, but how do you know who actually owns them?

Aren't they registered in Belize?

I'm skilled at online sleuthing.  Very useful in this hobby  :-)

As another poster said, it's in their about / help pages.  And yes, they used to be run out of Belize.    I have a feeling they've probably changed for regulatory reasons.  A lot of tax / secrecy havens have been shutting down due to pressure from the EU/US recently.
