My experience at the GUM clinic for any new punter that might be interested

Thought it was time to get a check at the clinic for any SDI that I may have picked up.
I've been punting since November 2015 and been through about 8 or 9 WGs. Saw one that advertised BB but didn't even have OWO with her. All others are either OWO or OW and any sex is protected.
Went as a walk in patient to the YorClinic  External Link/Members Only
They have clinics across North Yorkshire.
Waited 40.mins and was seen by a nice male nurse. I asked for a Clymidia and Gonahrea test. He asked me about my sexual partners and I told him I had sex with prostitutes and my wife. He asked if the sex was protected, I explained that it was with the prostitutes  but not with my wife. I explained that Oral was not protected in most instances. He said as it was my first visit I should get tested for Syphilis, HIV and Hepititis also.
So I let him take some blood, a pee sample and a swab from my throat.
He explained that my sexual activities were low risk, but not no risk.
At no cost at all to me the experience was quite pleasent and 5 days later I got a text that all tests proved negative.
So off punting we go again with a smile.

I just thought it was best to tell the truth so that the most appropriate tests were carried out.
I think they don't get that many telling the whole story as he was interested to know how I got in contact with the WGs and where I met them. He might be posting on this site soon!!

If you're in the Leeds area and you don't have the time to go for a test (or don't want to be seen) - then this is a free and reliable postal service that checks for chlamydia and gonorreah. I use it regularly and if you order a test on Monday you can have the test returned to them and the results delivered by Friday. Highly recommend and I don't think it's for any specific age group.

Doesn't say anything about gonorrhoea just chlamydia.

When you complete the form there's a point where it tells you that your sample will also be tested for gonorrhoea. I don't think that's standard in all areas of the country, which is why it's not highlighted initially.
