So I visited Oxford to see some friends.   On my return my girlfriend asked if I went Punting.   Thought I got busted.   Luckily for me she meant punting of the boating kind.   Lol

I thought I'd been busted too. My girlfriend asked me if I'd been blowing my money on high class hoes and it turned out she meant one of these...

No pictures of ford escorts please lads.

But if ever caught going to this web site, just say you were going to this one:

You might still be in trouble, but I think it will be somewhat less.

The meaning of the word has changed for me too. A colleague used it when discussing something non-WG related and I scanned his eyes just in case we realised we had a mutual secret hobby

Pretty sure he never punted in his life

Online Poopster

A lass I know was talking about a punter in her work.  I very nearly made some wisecrack about her taking a second job in the Edinburgh saunas...

Turns out restaurant staff call their customers punters.  Never mind, as you were.

Not to be confused with punting on the horses, either.

I am very suspicious of men who use "Lol" in their posts.

Usually a pro$$ie pretending to be a punter, wasting time hoping her dusty phone will ring   :sarcastic:

Audiences at comedy clubs and customers at night clubs are also often referred to as punters. I'm sure there are many other examples too.
