Those familiar with fake profiles on Adultwork will notice that many of the photos appear to be attractive young women that don't look at all like prostitutes and probably aren't. I believe the law on model release forms is probably rather murky, with few test cases. Even if someone has signed a release that gives the photographer use of the photo for all purposes, 'all purposes' generally is called into question if the model then sues for defamation - a costly business - if the image is used in conjunction with something that would, unbeknown to them, defame the character of that person - such as drugs or prostitution. It is clearly against the terms of Adultwork, but then they of course remove profiles mostly through persuasion rather than legal force usually. Rich people who know the ropes - including some sophisticated scam artists in any area - are often more polished 'persuaders' than a lay person who has been duped. Additionally, they have the funds to protect their position.
