Warsaw is OK to get about. Buses, trams, taxi's, the problem lies in understanding the language. The obviously easiest form of transport is the taxi, quite a large number of the drivers do speak English (they can also be a bit of a rip off, but that's another story), lets face it English is THE universal language. The next easy form is the tram. How you pay for the tram ride is not quite so easy. Some stops have a ticket machine which have English as one of the menu's, likewise some trams have a machine onboard, they do English as well, the older trams don't. The hard part with trams is knowing where they go, as the schedules don't show road names, but places where the tram stops. Buses I think, (as I have never used them) are similar to trams. Or lastly, depending where you are in the city, you can walk, as I have mentioned in a previous post. As for the girls not wanting you because you are English, that's rubbish as such. They love foreigners as they can rip them off a bit more, not overly but enough, for example a Pole could go into a drink bar and pay 150zl for an hour with a girl, whereas a foreigner would pay 200zl for the same girl.
