I have no theory or experience or answers. But I wonder about the very high increases in the price of buying and of renting, and the shortage of public housing. How does this affect the availability of locations for punting? This is not only in London. I punted in a small city last week in an outlying grotty estate (review soon) and by some chance I have found a lady in the same estate for tomorrow. I wonder if my car will have wheels when I get back to it, or just how grotty is the interior of the flat.
Ladies or pimps have to pay high rents for their flats.
Married ladies need to be able to punt from home when the kids are at school but where do they live and is it suitable. Even parlours need properties.
So the flats are in grotty areas or little houses or flats on estates miles from anywhere sensible.
